I feel like they are. Same thing happened last year where the puppies got kind of big and so they switched out to these newer ones. I don't know anything about breeding but some other comment was saying these are expensive purposefully-bred dogs, not shelter dogs? I don't know tho.

The field size for the Indy 500 is 33 cars, so they would either need 33 puppies, or limit the drivers represented to those on high-tier teams like Penske and Ganassi.
