Well, that sure wasn’t too challenging. Doesn’t look like food will be an issue for this little guy. Sherlock is a true cavalier. PS: not just ANY spoon - an espresso spoon. You can take the boy out of Italy but ya can’t take the Italy out of the boy. 😂
Hi Charlie this is a wonderful video.. Great to see how fantastic Sherlock is doing.. Same with Apple.. Great to see Grandma Bootsie in there as well.. Also wonderful to see you love Sherlock up.. Have a great day and all the best wishes as always..
Because of him being the only survivor, I hope you are going to keep him. He's beautiful and I am sure he misses his siblings. Glad he is doing well. ❤❤❤❤
First thing I thought when you got the towel to stop yourself getting that all over you was ‘I bet that gets all over you anyway’ 😅😂 Glad he’s doing so well ❤
what a little wiggle-wort he is! So very happy he is doing well and is enthusiastic about the puppy weaning food. He is such a special little guy - like a previous comment, I too hope you are considering to keep him or choose a very, very special family for him to live with!
Look at Sherlock go! So exciting to see him enjoying his first taste of solid food. I love his eagerness. What a handsome little boy he is! Great job Charlie. You’re the BEST! 🐶♥️
Oh my heart is soring, Sherlock you remind me of how I feel in love with Jamba I do believe you and I are going to share a love like that, my Rory thinks so to he heard you crying and smelled the phone. Good luck with weaning I don't think it's going to be to hard. Love, hugs and prayers for you Sherlock ❤️🐾🤗🙏🙏
Way to go Sherlock …it appears that you like your new solids . Plus you just look so so cute with your beautiful eyes . The sun is out and your looking so healthy, what a beautiful start to the day ❤️❤️❤️
Apple just wanted to make sure the food isn't tainted - she wasn't trying to eat it! I just love how close the generations are. Grandma Bootsie had to check on her grandson. ❤
Ciao Charlie sono Annarita dall'Italia innanzitutto buon giorno!Come si và?Tutto bene? Vedo Shirlock cresciuto🤩🤩👏👏👏 complimenti! Ciao amico mio Charlie col❤
Usually, the initial growth rate is not a sure predictor of eventual size as an adult. Genetics play a much bigger part, and that has not been affected.
Oh my garsh, what a sweet video. This is Diane Wood i have been folowing you for some tine now. I have a cavalier as well. Asher is his name. He has a heart murmur took him with it as a puppy. He is 5 now and doing great. If you have any sugg about what to do about his teeth that would be helpfu. Thank you so much for you and your app
The most important factor that you can control is his weight. Be very judicious in how much you feed him - the recommended weight range for an adult Cavalier is 13 to 18 pounds. To monitor it, use the chart on this page: www.dailypaws.com/dogs-puppies/dog-nutrition/dog-weight-management/dog-weight-chart Also, make sure your vet monitors the severity of the murmur. If it gets more severe, there are excellent medications to help control it.
@chaskat35 thank you so much for the reply so fast. He weighs 16 almost 17 lbs. Very frisky and happy 😊 . I love him dearly. How could i get his teeth cleaned since anesthesia is not possible.
My cavi, Jude, is getting his teeth cleaned as I write this. He’s 8 with a very slight murmur and I’m so nervous. But, I know he’s in the hands of the very best.
My black and tan boy is ten now and has a grade 5 murmur. I brush his teeth daily and also use a seaweed based cleaner which is sprinkled on his food. He's a wonderful, happy little dog and I love him dearly.
Oh my goodness! How sweet is that! Sherlock is very fortunate to be born of Apple. In a lot of circumstances I don’t think he would have faired so well. ❤❤❤
QUESTION: Because Sherlock lost some growth from his early issues, will he catch up, or will he always be a tad behind? The reason I ask is because my Cavalier is perfectly formed in every way except she's barely 11 inches tall and only weighs 11.5 pounds. Your experience makes me wonder if she went through something similar in her early days.
My experience in the past has been that the principal factor in final adult size is genetics. I believe that Sherlock will wind up at the size he would have if no complications had arisen.
Yay! I am glad to see he is a hungry boy. Charlie, do you know yet if you will keep Sherlock or find him a different home? I could see especially after the journey with this litter you might have a soft spot for him
