PEEPUL - before commenting about my feedback, PLEAZ watch the video IN FULL. I beg, seriously. We saw what happened the last time a beauty brand tried to stunt on us with 60 shades (and how much of a flop that was) OF COURSE people are going to be skeptical of 100 shades! A lot of shades does not mean they are all QUALITY and wearable!!!!

100 shades just proves that these brands have no excuse now, this is absolutely brilliant even if the formula isn’t that great it is literally showing that brands really be out here moving mad with some of these shade ranges AND the formula was beautiful these brands have NO EXCUSE NOW like at all they didn’t before but this takes the cake truly

I disagree. If you want to start your own brand, you have no excuse anymore, that's what it means. Why are we still looking to established brands to cater to us and then cry about misrepresentation, lack of diversity, white supremacy, not buying black, supporting black business etc.... Why is all this energy never put in existing brands like for ex IMAN? I don't support that sort of rethoric because it's soooo contradicting.

my dost honestly Rihanna did make an amazing shade range. 40 shades is not groundbreaking but they spent a lot of time on each shade so they covered from extremely fair to extremely dark tones when other brands had 50 shades but mostly tan so their range wasn’t expanding to extremely fair and deep people. I feel you about the lightness I’m in the middle kind of tones so a lot of foundations work on me, but my sister is extremely paper fair and can’t use a lot of foundations like Fenty or some I recommend like Dior Airflash which does not go even close to light enough. Some that she’s been using that go extremely fair for her are from Nars, Bobbi Brown, or Rimmel if you’re more on a budget.

They’re kind of a boring brand, no one really talks to them because they dont pump out products as quickly as too faced or colourpop but dont release quality/intriguing products like abh or fenty. They’re kinda like it cosmetics, mainly older people (like 35+) use them

Wow I actually think that shade is the best match I’ve ever seen for you!! Your skin looks so gorgeous and glowing. I hope within that 100 they have a good slightly golden olivey fair shade. Tired of looking like I have stale cheeto dust blended all the way down to my chest because these brands don’t understand that orange is not an undertone and not all pale people are pink.

people do this in my comments all the time too. when I try a product and explain why it doesn't work for me, there's nothing more annoying than someone (on the opposite end of the shade spectrum, mind you) in the comments trying to argue me about it, or insinuate I'm ungrateful because I don't shut up and make it work. Like ok, since you know so much and are the expert on complexions, why is this industry still in this predicament in the first place?

Courtney Washington I agree! Because by our standards, im a light-caramel skinned black girl. But by the cosmetic industry standards, im dark. Theres a TON of shades between my color and the darkest foundation shade, but most brands only squeeze that range into 3-10 shades and call it “deep”. Its a shame they dont take into account our various shades & undertones

Hope V consider that what you may consider “dark”, it gets a lot darker. When it comes to foundation, there’s often much darker ppl than the darkest shade they have.
