I am Konkani and we make undi and dalitoy more unddi seasoning add little bit of methi seeds (5-6 seeds) for nice flavour and add hing while cooking dal and seasoning dalitoy

I am konkani and dali thoy (pronounced as दाळी तोय) is made at least twice a week at home... My favourite.. it is GSB konkani cuisine... one of the variety of dal recipes we have in India ❤
