Zach Edey is the best player in the college basketball but he will be facing his most game match-up all season in Oumar Ballo. Ballo is huge in his own right and can be a player who that has it in him to slow down, but NOT stop Edet. This match-up will be key in determining who will come out victorious in the battle for the top spot in college basketball between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Arizona Wildcats.
Two well coached teams, Matt Painter and Tommy Lloyd will have the squads ready to roll and I'll have my prediction video ready tomorrow night. Stay tuned!

Been waiting for this game all week. Top notch matchup between Purdue and Arizona. Arizona still has to play Alabama and FAU. What a time to be alive, this is basketball at it’s best. Keep up the good work Matt!

Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd is an excellent tactician. Yesterday he was asked how his team would slow down Edey and Lloyd said, "I'm not going to tell you that." Arizona is well aware what they are up against and probably has several different approaches to test out. I am feeling that if unranked Alabama could hang within 6 of Purdue, Arizona can beat Purdue by 20.

Matt Painter and Zack Edey have seen it all. There will be no surprise. Even if they change during the game they have seen that. Matt will feed Zach early and often to see how they plan on defending him.

@@Shan_Coxoutside of center Purdue can’t match up with Arizona at any other position. Arizonas depth of talent off the bench is also deeper than Purdues.

Michigan state was able to hang in and come within 6 of AZ and Michigan state is a much worse team than Alabama…who is ranked 10 on Kenpom with the most efficient offense in the country…could AZ win by 20 sure could Purdue win by 20 sure they both having ceilings to do so…to expect this is the most likely outcome is pretty dumb

The Cats backup center is 7'2" Moe Krivas. He is very skilled, but not as strong as Ballo. You didn't even mention Keshad Johnson, who can guard all 5 positions (but probably not Edey). When Lewis and Bradley come off the bench the Cats don't lose anything on defense. This will be a fun game to watch, but Purdue better bring it for 40 minutes. The Cats will want to play at a fast tempo at every opportunity.

Edey is SLOW up and down the court. Arizona is fast up and down the court. It will be 5 on 4 for the first 3 to 5 seconds for Arizona offense. Put your seat belts on. Edey cannot take the pace. Arizona has a better bench.

Good analysis, I’m a u of a fan and I’m ok with 25-30 from Edey, especially if we can limit his rebounds or possibly get him in foul trouble. I think if you take Purdues top 8 and our top 8, we have the advantage at 6-7 of those spots.

Arizona guards are faster, bigger, stronger across the board. They are going to make Purdue very uncomfortable on the perimeter and Edey won't get the ball in the spots where he normally wants it.

Good breakdown of the game. Surprise Arizona is the under dog in this game even if it’s a game in Indiana. Arizona is better at 4 out of the 5 starting position and has a better bench. Edey is good, but to overcome deficiency at the other positions the best player has to be a generational talent. Arizona is too athletic. Wouldn’t be surprise if it’s a similar outcome like against Wisconsin.

Thank you! I would be surprised if it’s a blowout, Arizona is really good but it’ll be hard to replicate that performance especially in what is basically a road game. I have Arizona, but I think Purdue won’t go down without a fight. We shall see!

Ballo played 11 minutes against Dickinson and scored one point, against Cockburn he played 12 minutes and scored 6 points. Arizona got the dubs but I wouldn’t call that domination from Ballo
