Limit setup so it ignores the sun (unless you play by script)
This is a pretty simple concept that is difficult to pull off. Pretty much, since you can only use 2 ices once you start out (after you place both your ices), you need to have as many waves between the third ice wave and the beginning. Usually, in something like pure 20 cob or tai chi 18 cob, it's really easy to make a lot of filler waves to save ices but 24 cob has cobs on column 8 which makes it extremely difficult to create filler waves. Without using any extremely nerdy strats, I'm only able to save 1 extra wave which is BARELY enough to wrap.

This is called the "adjacent ch6" solution and works much better with 1 pre-placed ice. However, pole vaulters can't be dealt with on the second ice wave so this isn't a very good solution overall.
If you're planning to play this, I would recommend having pre-placed lily pads down so you can instantly plant your ices which cuts a load off the ice reload time and the hand speed. Although, I feel like it also ruins the "pureness" of it
