@@rp2889 I’ve had a pure air for 6 months use it everyday drive about 4 miles everyday and have gone past countless police cars but never get in trouble . You should buy one
As soon as you took off I thought I recognised the area, then you went past the Mayfield Garage and I was then 100% sure that I do, I live a bit further up in Southampton too! I've been looking at these scooters and I'm really itching to get one lol... thanks for the video mate!
Great video!! Loved you enthusiasm and the backing track 😂 Been hiring the voi scooters and have a blast everytime but thinking of buying a pure now. I'd use it as a summer commute to work to cut down on car costs and to do my bit for congestion etc. Slightly worried that a copper will impound it though 😄 Funny thing is these are ridden everywhere and although pure tell you not to ride on public roads their marketing hints at great for nipping around as a car alternative. The sooner these are made uk road legal the better, it a far too good an option to see wither and die.
@@yasir5673 hi, yeah I bought one early last year and no never been stopped despite police driving past me and me riding past them many times. Scooters are everywhere in our city and they've got better things to do I guess. Loving it by the way, clocked up a few hundred miles on my pure air pro 👍🏼
Just bought a ninebot e25e has front and rear suspension easily tunable for better speed and can have the extra battery for better speed and distance. Overall pretty happy with it for the price.
Ive just orderd one for my son, also it would be rather easy to work out your address with the name of your road and the building opposite in the video brother. Just from your accent and the large ships in the video id be willing to bet its near Portsmouth or southhampton, just a heads up as the internet is full of weirdoes.

Just wondering does it feel fast when your on it because I have been on the pure air go and that felt fairly fast but it’s just on camera it looks surprisingly slow ?
I find that it feels fast and you definitely feel a bit of pull from the initial acceleration which is fun. Definitely looks slower on camera but no it is quick.
I was going to spend £1500 on an escorter but once I found out 99.99% of the pricey ones are not waterproof I decided to just go for a Pure scooter. Because whats the point having a big powerful scooter that will get destroyed on the rain.
Can I ask, what is the procedure for signalling with scooters. I've only tried one once, not on a road. Obviously their legality on roads is mute until January, but I can't imagine car drivers being friendly with scooters not indicating where they are going?
At £449 that’s actually the pure air you have there with the screw type folding mechanism, the pro has a quick clip mechanism and a larger battery so better range. Both the same in terms or everything else inc Moro power to be fair. Think when they are legalised it’s the pure air pro I would be going for. how is it too speed and acceleration wise etc when you get below 50% battery?
@@LolLol-pt8xy shows differently on their website. Shows screw for the go and the air and the latch on the pure air pro! Oh and they have an unboxing video on this same channel clearly showing it as well. Can’t imagine they fitted latch to one scooter just for a video 🤷♀️ think u need to check lol
@@e-scooterguy Yeah my friend has the PRO and it definitely has the quick release latch system as supposed to the screw on mine. Other than that as you said, they are literally the same apart from the max range which is 18 miles on mine and 30 on the pro. In terms of the battery percentage and speed/acceleration.. Nothing changes regardless of the battery life, same speed and acceleration at all times. Thanks for your comment 😊
@@lukegarnes3689 consistent performance on lower battery is impressive! Maybe that’s why at full speed ppl are moaning they get nothing like the advertised range. And maybe it’s because it maintains performance better, and Ppl don’t get they test these in optimum conditions in eco mode! Whatever range you see on a scooter halve it is my advice! So the pure air go the base model expect more like 6 miles or so, pure air 9 or so and the pro 15 or so. The new LR expect 19 or so! 😁
@@e-scooterguy ur right, i used to have the normal pure air and the screw folding system wasnt very good as it made my handle bare loose and shakey, but i upgraded to pro and the latch system is very good indeed!
Hi I’ve read many reviews claiming the actually range to be 4-8miles max. It’s actual claimed range is 18 miles, is this correct to say the battery life is terrible?
Just to chime in. I've got the second gen Pure Air Pro and I use it for work every day (done over 700 miles on it now). Best I have had out of it in one day on one charge is 20 Miles. This was a warmish day and for the last ten miles I really lifted and coasted a lot while on full power. With my bag on my back I'm probably about 90kg. Factors such as if it's windy or hilly or particularly if it's cold will eat up the battery faster.. I've heard of the Xiaomi 360 Pro doing less than 10 miles on a charge but it'd got a much smaller battery. Realistically you can easily get 15 miles out the second gen Pure Air Pro on full speed if it's mainly flat terrain and not too cold and windy 👍🏻
@@simonjoannou4197 hi I’ve got the 2nd gen pro, fiancé got it for Christmas, but since using it I’ve found battery to be very good, considering the price of the scooter, but yes I’ve seen when using it when the weather is colder the battery seems to drain quicker but since coming to warmish whether it’s range has improved somewhat, thanks for the comment though 👍

Hi mate, yeah I still really enjoy my scooter and find it fun to ride. Perfect for bombing it in into town, over to see a friend or as you say just nipping to the shops. I’d definitely recommend 👍🏾
@@lukegarnes3689 I have the same scooter plus the Pure Air Go. I brought the one you have for the battery but after only month plus the stem is a bit shaky and I was able to turn it all the way around! Not good for safety. Have you had any problems with the stem? Plus great video, nice views 😀
I really want an e-scooter for work instead of driving with fuel costs etc. But can't the police just randomly pull you over and take the scooter off you as not legalised in the uk still?? Unlikely to happen I know but still a concern
Not sure where you love bud, but au really wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’ve never been pulled over and I’ve gone right past the police a number of times. Ride it sensibly and I can’t imagine your have any issues.
Just a heads up here if you're buying one. Service prices are extortionate. It's worth learning how to change tyres and tubes yourself. Otherwise you could end up paying nearly the price of a cheap scooter just to replace them
Thanks for your comment Billy. I think this depends where you’re in the world, where I am the service prices are reasonable. That said and most importantly, I haven’t needed mine serviced yet and I’ve had it for just over a year.
@@lukegarnes3689 I completely agree with you. I imagine it varies. I'm in Hampshire u.k. when I called my local store for new tyres and inner tubes and was quoted £150. Including the travel it would have cost me I'd be looking somewhere around £170. However the tyres and inner tubes when bought online come to a rough total of £60. With the tools I needed to change them I had saved myself £100. There are extremely helpful tutorials on RU-vid from pure electric directly though so it's not too hard to do. Just worth baring in mind. This was the only dissapointment I had. All in all it is a brilliant scooter and regardless of servicing costs I'd still recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-market scooter.
I previously didn’t think it did but when I last used it, I did experience a decline in the performance as the battery was close to dying. I didn’t notice that before so I’ll check it again the next time I ride it.
I’ve made a video which tests the max range. I’ll be uploading it in the next few days,been sat on it for ages. The max range is said to be 18 miles but look out for the video to see what results I got.

Oh I think that was my phone holder that I got free when I brought the scooter mate. I’ve since taken it off as it wasn’t great and my old phone actually fell out of it and smashed 🤦🏾♂️ Good excuse to buy a new phone though, I needed one tbf 🤩😂
I was a bit bemused when you admitted that you didn’t know the name of the scooter you was about to assess, and I can pop round with my petrol strimmer and trim your front garden if you like ?
Respectfully, don’t listen to her. It’s just another mode of transport and with fuel prices what they are, it’s a sensible one at that. Scooters aren’t age dependent, go for it.
