Maomao commenting on the Pure Consort's age is actually the opposite of what you were thinking. It means that she is an adult. Consort Lishu, as a child, has never had the Emperor visit her. He is at least better than his father was in that regard, as his father both took Lishu as his consort when she was much younger than she currently is, and also impregnated the current Dowager Empress at an unspeakably young age (her actual age for when she gave birth to the current Emperor was bleeped/censored out). Also Jinshi's cheek was red just from how hard (and how long) he had his face pressed up against the door to try and listen in to the lesson 😂

Loulan is rather enigmatic wearing lots of makeup so Maomao can’t quite really check her out. She clearly does not want to be a consort and is both curious and dismissive of Maomao. Maybe she realizes Maomao is smart, observant, and very knowledgeable and she is on guard to her. Without knowing a lot about the Rear Palace politics, relationships, consorts background (e.g., Lisha’s family background permitting bullying), and history it’s hard to sort all this out. Hopefully we will get better insights in Season 1 but I am sure in Season 2.
Watchman entered warehouse causing dust to rise and when he lit pipe boom. He was not seriously hurt. BUT Lakan-Sama apparently noticed pipe and sent Lihaku to check out the explosion. He (like Maomao) is surprised that the watchman had such an expensive pipe. Hhhhhmmmm accident or not?
