Y'know what in my opinion is a shame in gamma? That legends like Strelok or Scar are not being shown on your PDA at best STALKERs list in top 100. That's a shame, because Strelok is only one that been at Wish Granter
To me the game isn't that scary. It has it's tension and hectic moments, sure, but I'm not that scared at all. Alien Isolation is my scariest game experience ever, as I was only 7 when I saw the first Alien movie, some 35 years ago, and had nightmares of it for years. I love the Alien movies and stories, but Alien Isolation had me screaming in terror, throwing my headset to the floor and covering my eyes with my hands when the Xenomorph got me. Still played it, and loved it 😅
Oo, great to see more people covering GAMMA! Never thought I would see you playing STALKER on this channel (I've watched on/off since FO3), I guess now you only need to play Metro on this channel and the holy trinity is complete lol. Suggestion: try the mag mod at some point, having to deal with magazines (like Tarkov) adds interesting decisions into the game!
Thanks for staying with me for so long! I played the STALKER games 10-15 years ago, but never got deep into them. I remember them being atmospheric, somewhat challenging and buggy. The GAMMA pack is the perfect STALKER game for me: some complex mechanics, well implemented survival elements, good gunplay, beautiful graphics and vistas, dripping with thick immersion and a proper skill curve. I've also played all the Metro games over the years, but never got around to make any videos of them 🤷🏻♂️ I've seen videos of the magazine mod, and I'm not sure if I'd enjoy an extra hassle in the game right now. Perhaps later. Never say never 👍🏼
@@OrcCorp Your FO3 guides were the best! After those I admit I've not watched too often but check in from time to time. Same for me, I've watched a ton of STALKER videos and I played SoC and CoP a lot but never quite finishing them, Clear Sky was just a mess on PC when I tried it, I also tried Misery for CoP years ago, but my then PC didn't agree with it and/or it was poorly optimized, couple of years ago I got into Anomaly but didn't play after wading through monolith at the brain scorcher lol, GAMMA seems to bring the elements I didn't enjoy in Anomaly to a new level and makes it a lot more enjoyable! You can tweak so many settings inside GAMMA it's crazy, I just have the mags mod, less NPCs to have more desolate feeling and and the mod that allows for some weapon trading to happen, I think you can even buy armors and weapons but I don't think I've really seen any yet so it's balanced quite well. If you haven't, try the Metro Exodus enhanced edition, I just started playing it for the first time and it's crazy what kind of visuals game can have when RT is a GPU requirement, it even performs nice on AMD!
good lord, staying alive against those two reds (red chimera), good job. consider looking into getting survival kits, those apply instantly without animations. you can even reload and stuff.
Thanks! I feel like the meds without any use animations are a bit cheaty. Like the tourniquet, which I use simply because there is no good alternative, since the basic bandage is so weak in comparison. I wish those modding champions could make some simple 3 second animation for the tourniquet, and maybe 5 seconds for the Survival Kit.
@@OrcCorp i guess so, but honestly as glitchy as the game can be, i will take those little bread crumbs with no bad conscience. still love the game despite some of the jank
There are easy to follow instructions on the GAMMA Discord server. Follow them to the letter. Also some RU-vid guides can be found easily. You can do it, just like everyone else 👍🏻
It's easy. Follow the video guide. If it fucks up, restart the whole thing. I reinstalled this week, the last time was early in the year. 1st install flawless, needed to delete to clear space, second install took 2 tries. Sometimes I think because of moddb it doesn't go as planned the first time.
I remember watching your Fallout 3 videos as a 12 year old, lol. I'm glad you're still around and yeah, STALKER kicks ass. GAMMA seems super fun, I need to try it out.
