Excellent work man.. this was very well done. bookmarked for life. The lineup tonight looked awesome without the giant glaring holes of Inge and Raburn. Lets keep it that way.
@DeltronFF I agree we need to wait. Especially on AJax. Scherzer I liked well before we got him, but knew he was inconsistent and young still. You are right aobut the coaches. McClendon I can't believe is still here, much less Leyland. It's definitely time for a regime change. The lineups this year until TODAY (real nice 2day) have been insane. I find it hard to believe Knapp was fired for his lack of helping these guys after all the pitchers Minny produced while he was there.
@ 0:45 you said any hope of a great black player, the next year Fielder is signed, then Hunter is sign. You helped us Tigers fans get 2 GREAT black players and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts
@ypsidan04 agreed with everything you said.. unfortunately when rosters expand in September he'll probably be back with the team.. if he's not before then.
@Reip187 You gotta remember.. trading Granderson landed us not just Jackson, but Scherzer, Coke, and Schlereth as well. These guys are all SO young still.. all younger than Granderson. There's plenty of time to see how this trade really worked out. Also, Granderson did so much better once he got to New York.. their coaches are clearly better than ours.. I don't think he'd be doing what he's doing in NY if he stayed in Detroit. Our hitting coach couldn't help him all those years..
@wbab1234 why would i get worked up? That makes no sense. And you go out there and hit 95mph fastballs and then next pitch a slider at 78 that cuts across the plate
@24bdm WE have beer tents dammit. Lots of them. The Summer Spectacular is the only thing that needs to be talked about though. Just read off the band list and people will laugh.
@bsimons9168 ahaha I just realized you said he's only behind Brooks Robinson for 3rd basemen.. I somehow missed that gem the first time. I'm getting trolled.. I get it now. thats hilarious, good work.. it fooled me the first time.
@Reip187 AJax is already a pretty gifted CFer so we got that at least. Grandy was just like him when he came up with his KOs, and still has them. Highly doubt he ever has that kind of power, but I think in 2-3 years he will be a real solid player. While I think it was his time to be in the MLB, he looks a bit lost still at times.
To be fair: this video was made back in the summer of 2011, when Prince was still in Milwaukee and at the height of Granderson's 41 homer run for NYY....
God that's funny. The shot of the couple wearing Inge and Willis jerseys either have awful predictive abilities or they hit up the clearance rack at Meijer!
@theprofessional1414 the homers were a long time ago.. he's got 1 this season. I realize u said most of the time the strike out.. but its not ever close anymore.
@Reip187 Yeah I agree with every word you said man. I'm not really gonna stick up a ton for Knapp, but he is no more to blame for any Tiger problems than McClendon or Leyland. Knapp was a scapegoat for what was happening at the time. If the Tigers don't make the playoffs I want Leyland gone for sure.. no way he should get a new contract. Hell, even if they make the playoffs (depending how far they go I guess in the playoffs), I still am not sure abotu bringing him back.
Finally, Inge really needed to go. But good news for the fans that there's a 1% chance another team will pick him up, and if the Tigers make the postseason, he'll probably be back as a sub. A nice guy, but business is business. Incidentally, Ryan Raburn needs to go too. Ramon Santiago, Don Kelly, and Danny Worth (9 for 30) can backup Betemit and Guillen.
@DONGOE - What you should know in order to be educated on the subject is that it has been 2 years and he hasn't done anything. I like Brandon Inge and hope that he can work these things out, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen soon unless they bring in a new hitting coach to work one on one with him. I used to be an Inge apologist, but I got tired of arguing with the inevitable. John Kerfoot has brought humor to a sad situation and should not be criticized for having a little fun.
