Thanks for all the views, apologies to the snooker purists out there who seem offended at my video. I only made it as it was the first one to be recorded and made I believe. As the description says, it's a 147 at amateur level, the aiming lines allow me to try and learn about position which I'm still doing. I'm not the best player on this game, the best don't use aiming lines at all, the video is as the title and description are displayed, nothing more :-)
+PikeyBum Congrats .... "snooker purists" LOL .... the general sense from the replies is one I'll throw in with ....nice video and clearance dude ....I too smiled when I saw the accolade "....more than 115 points". Just got the game and it's a great fun game ....and I've enjoyed your videos.
+PikeyBum What I say, and I don't even play snooker, but I say that for all billiards, you won't learn by having the guidelines on. With the guidelines on, you are looking at what the lines say; you aren't seeing the angles for yourself. I can run a full rack with guidelines on, but I don't play with them on and so I am getting better at running the rack without them, which similarly helps my aim irl, other than playing the game irl.
Fantastic skill, very good potting and Position play. I dont think that anybody could do that without that shot lines. @pikeybum again, that was a great 147. You should be proud. My highest break was 90 something.
I've been playing this game for a while an anyone thinks it's easy because the guidelines I can assure you it's harder than its looks specially long shots you still have to adjust your cue power an maintain your positional shots so fair play to you mate I'm sure the trophy percentage for this trophy is like 0.1% 😎👌🏻
The latest patch has fixed the 147 trophy as someone else has done it and got the trophy. As for all those saying this is easy with aiming lines, you clearly haven't played the game...its not as easy as you think and you still need to control the cueball.
good effort...ur just above me in the rankings and i noticed ud made a 147. i think u might be the only person in the world who has done it, i havent seen anyone else who has. if only united played with this attacking flair...
When I first starting playing Pure Pool Snooker I was playing on a table like the one you are playing on, but after several games I am playing on a terrible table. The table is full of cigarette and drink marks. How do I get back to my original table? Very nice video and very well played.
+Donald Mellor Go into My Profile and choose Table and you will see a list of colours all of which are greyed out for Snooker, at the bottom of this list is "Clean Baize" which resets the table to brand new.
To do it twice is amazing, but have you let VooFoo know that the trophy didn't ping as there will be a few raging they didn't get it if it is glitched.
i'm reasonable at normal snooker, high break of 85, but i cant get a break of 16 in vp4, the angles are just too weird. i want to play like i can in real life with friends every now and then, not practice 12 hour days.
sorry to bother but could you please tell me what game is this and where do I find it? I have been searching for a good PC snooker game like this. Please kindly reply. Thanks.
Pure Pool would be absolutely perfect were it not for one very simple mistake, and this is that the pocket openings are black and if you select a baize colour that is too dark then you can barely see the pockets. All it needs is an update to make the pockets a lighter colour.
+dalailama89 I suppose they didn't know until I got one- they're "working on it" I'd have platinum now if my save hadn't corrupted and lost all my accolades too!
You are a very good player. This is how I should like to play. I think my best break is 45. This is not a criticism, but I would love to see you play without the green line to help.
the shot at 4:24 was just stupid how did he even see where that was going lol. even all the aiming system out there. could of been close or straight up missed. i dont even know
+Jamie Lofts so you should know that that a drag shot is where you hit low on the cue ball and as the ball is travelling the backspin turns to topspin before it hits the object ball.
international cue club is the best on ps2 only downside is you can't do power shots this game looks like you can't miss no skill needed unless you switch off the lines
unrepeatable raddish Some tables are that way? Yes tables that have dead cushions, meaning the table is bad. Any half decent snooker table should have some bounce on their cushions, the cushions in this game are terrible. The graphics are great but the dead cushions make this game unplayable for me.
@@navos2003 Not to the extent the game slows them down. They've just ported over the physics from the pool. This is not a good sim game at all. Too many problems with it. The view, the cue angling when it's hampered making it impossible to line up a shot if you have to lift the cue up. So many ridiculous design decisions in this game.
Love the game, but the A.I is so frustrating to play against sometimes. Pulls off incredible cuts everytime, but doesn't give a crap where the cueball ends up. It feels like you're playing the best potter, but the worst tactical player ever.
unrepeatable raddish they’re two completely different disciplines. Name one snooker player that came and “dominated” American pool since its 100x easier
shit game unrealistic when playing spin (back, follow through side ) def aiming lines not helpfull when applying any sort of spin - suppose ok for shitty pool but snooker is a different level - so disapointed look gr8 though - (that helps not)
John, I read your fairly ruthless review on pure pool 147 ... try my game QuickSnooker - drop me an email with your player name and i will turn on the pro physics for you.. interested in your feedback on the physics support@quicksnooker.com (ps.. it's PC only)
