I have driven 2 cars over long drive over 500+ kms in a day...Creta Petrol Manual SX Executive and Honda Amaze Diesel. Both did not make me tired because of the comfort factor for both the driver and backseat passengers. Creta being petrol the engine noise is not audible which makes the driving more relaxing. If your running is 500km in a month go for Creta Petrol SX instead of Diesel. Petrol is more refined than diesel with less noise though Hyundai Diesels are very refined compared to others. Having higher ground clearance is a clear advantage over the City though City have better legroom and better back seat comfort
Hi, Thanks for sharing, informative and thoroughly enjoyed. I have plan for puri road trip with my Brezza in October, but bit apprehensive as I have experienced of 200kms drive at a stretch not more than that. Never did night drive. I am planning road trip with my 3.5 yrs daughter. If you can suggest on those aspects to me.
Couple of points 1. My kid is now 6yrs old but I have been doing long drives from the time he was 2 yrs old. He likes traveling and so that's not an issue. It will depend from kid to kid. Recently I drove non-stop from Darjeeling to Kolkata in 17-18 hrs. He keeps taking power naps in the car and keeps on recharging himself. 2. For night drives have a very good sleep before the drive, eat light and drink a lot of water else u will have severe indigestion. Also headlights and fog lamps need to be cleaned often during drive as they will pick up dirt and light throw will be not focused. Also drive slow means 90-100 kmph so you will have time to react if something comes like a cow or bumper.
The engine temperature on the extreme left is just below half level always know? Also, the reserve kilometers isn't showing up for me.. ofcourse I haven't even driven 100km also 🤣 does it show up after sometime?
