I continue to pray for the kind and gentle man as well. His humility is something that we all should strive for. I learn much from his "preaching from the woods" sermons.

Thank you Fr. Spyridon, and I pray you are healing up well! Pride is without a doubt one of the things I struggle with the most, and I know it takes time. I am doing my best to stay vigilant against it, and pray God will continue to work on my heart with each day. Lord Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy upon me the sinner.

Thank you for all of your wonderful videos Fr. Spyrridon. I was present for Bishop Basil Essey's final sermon which was about humility. You both have similar things to say about struggling with pride and how God fills the humble with his Holy Spirit. I struggle with this pride as well. Please keep me In Your thoughts and prayers

Simple is the path,narrow gates no problem,long walk around if you don't fit..narrow,virtues good or bad,intentions count I believe..

Are we purified because we're humble or are we humble because we're purified? If we were humble to begin with, we wouldn't be proud and impure. Humility is a fruit of repentance, not a pre-requisite.

I think your question only makes sense regarding the first ever repentance we have as sinners. Because following that it is the humility that is already in us that can lead us to repentance and vice versa. If you'd ask me whether the first repentance came first or humility that initiated that first repentance, then we'd be diving into the discussion of calvanism vs armeniasm.
