"Purple Haze" is a song written by Jimi Hendrix. It was released as the second single by The Jimi Hendrix Experience in the UK in March 1967.
The intro of this song is very shocking and has something destructive in it. In this song, Jimi uses a 7♯9 chord called the Hendrix chord. This is a very impressive sound. The sound of the Experience band is in the vein of blues and jazz, and I think their fuzz sound is a symbol of the times, and can also be said to be a symbol of psychedelic music.

I've loved this song since I was young, and I played it when I was a teenager and learned a lot about the guitar from it.
And the guitar solo in this song is different from standard guitar solos, using very distinctive phrasing, timing, and sounds.
I tried playing it.
The guitar I used was a Fender USA Stratocaster American Vintage 57 Model, and the amp I used was a Fractal AxFX2XL Marshall SLP1959 Treble 1.
I added an overall 60's phaser effect to the guitar sound. This is not a compact effector phaser, but I wanted it to have a 60's feel, so I used a Waves ADT.
By the way, the solo in the original song is not very distorted and has a rather raw sound, but that part was made into a solo using this effect.
For the backing, I set the volume to 7, for the main phrase and solos to 10, and adjusted the amount of distortion.
Also, in the ending part, the original version uses "Tape played at increased speed" to create an unusual sound.
I interpreted that part a little differently and played it my own way.
In addition to the usual guitar phrases, I play the following three.
1. Repeated phrase in high position.
2. Use the guitar strings in the head section to create a noisy sound.
3. Add a super high pitched note with no frets using the slide bar.

At that time, I played by playing the guitar behind my head. That's what Jimi actually did.
