Not Purple Kiss debuting with a self-produced dark themed aesthetic title track and even amazing Intro! Queens breaking stereotypes from the beginning! And note down that a 16 year old wrote this song during her trainee days and she is even the main vocal of the team 💜😌 Pre-debut fans be hella proud of them!
this group is fire. i expected nothing less from the same company that created mamamoo. mamamoo can be super proud of their juniors. i try to go in with no expectations because it's not fair to expect the world of any new group. they are NEW. anything could happen, but the really blew this outta the water. RBW better do well and keep these girls. don't lose them once their contract runs out.
The first time I watched them was bcs I was waiting for Rosé's part in music shows. Ngl, the lineup was boring to me (other groups) but then when Purple Kiss turn, I got goosebump. Especially the strong vocal chorus part. I thought it is a comeback but I was shocked to find out this is a debut. I genuinely hope the company and the group wont lose the music momentum bcs I believe soon after, they will attract more fans and attention. Keep it up!!
Yess they’re polished and amazing live because they already attended alot of live show before (as guests). They’re even produced and wrote all the songs in their album. Support PURPLE KISS!
Dosie has such fantastic facial expressions, she opened the stage perfectly. She didn't have much lines but she stole the stage and MV and I would say it's her "era".
Swan, Goeun and Yuki participated in writing and producing 'Ponzona' and Swan said that the song was originally made for a trainee evaluation. THE TALENT
They really meant when they said "Purple on the top"😌 They snapped hard ngl The girl that raised her eyebrows in the beginning,I think Dosie, she is definitely Moonbyul's child
The thing is rbw artists are trained to perform in front of live audiences even before they officially debut, that is why they already look so natural on stage even from day 1. From mamamoo to oneus and onewe, all have some sort of experience on live performances before they even got their official names. Like performing on some local festivals, an event at some hall or cafes, a mini concert or buskings on the street, or even as an opening act for their seniors concert. They already treated as a professional performer while still being a trainee on their agency, they all creatively involved on their own projects, and knows how to work the stage. This is why Purple Kiss stage presence is already so strong even from their debut stage, bcuz they are trained to do so thus already used to it :') anyway, Rbw is a shitty company especially at promoting their artists works, but my god they knows how to discover and nurture some excellent and talented artists. I got high hopes for Purple Kiss, good luck girls, and congrats on ur debut~
RBW is far from perfect, but I don't agree that it is a "shitty" company. Although as an iMooMoo, their inability to provide Mamamoo with something as basic as English subs, is frustrating. They could also do much, much better at promoting Mamamoo, and individual members, such as Wheein's solo releases. I don't believe Mamamoo would be where they are, had they not been with RBW. The amount of creative input they are allowed would be unthinkable in another label, particularly the Big 3. The girls have been involved from Day 1 - writing, composing, and choreographing. And in the early days, styling themselves too. It's worth remembering that Solar and Moonbyul have renewed their contracts ahead of time, and Wheein and Hwasa are continuing to negotiate in good faith. I don't believe that they would do so, had they been dissatisfied with RBW. I am glad to see that the hands-on approach has carried over to PK. It is incredible to think that they co-produced their debut album, and were also involved in some way (choreographing etc) for their pre-releases. But yes, RBW has always made sure their groups cut their teeth on performing live. Mamamoo sang for *the* Quincy Jones at an industry event, even before they debuted. That was when I knew RBW were serious about their artists gaining musical chops.
RBW does 99% korea promotion. But if you compare promotion stuff, Oneus is always fast equipped with subtitles and them being on RTK boosted their popularity both in korea and outside. So maybe rbw learned or has now some more possibilities to promote internationally...
People are mostly talking about Dosie but i’d just like to point out the other members, as well as her because they’re all so talented people like its genuinely surprising that they’re only rookies yet have this kind of presence, amazing vocals and strong voices.
@@Samuel-qy3ck omg yes! These new groups are to professional they more like they been in the game for sometime compare to the rookie days with those hairstyle and many rookie groups back then what I know didn’t start off with their style until like later on they finally have their style... how kpop change not in a bad way, it’s just like wow from camera to m/v to stage presence
back in medieval times, swans were considered a delicacy and served to kings and nobles at feasts and banquets. i don't know why i thought of swans and food...but there it is.
Fun fact: Swan (Maknae, 17 years) wrote ‘PONZONA’ as a trainee evaluation song without the intentions of being part of their debut, the song was so good that they debuted with that as the title track of their Mini album. Fun fact2: *ALL* the members are credited on the album ‘Into Violet’ in: lyrics, composing & choreography (In ALL the songs) Fun fact3: ‘Skip Skip’ & ‘Period’ were also evaluation songs (b sides) Fun fact4: Yuki is the only non-Korean member (Japanese) and also she’s the Main rapper, she says that she founds Korean a little difficult but even tho she writes all her raps or the most of them
It's not the first time that RBW has done that, hwasa wrote something very early in her career with Mamamoo and it ended up on an album. The point I'm trying to make is RBW takes note and rewards.
that short blond haired girl blew me away. if you didn’t tell me she were a rookie, i would’ve never known. her stage presence and aura is just amazing
Meeeeeeeee I know them ever since I got into kpop. They are the first ever group I looked into after BLACKPINK. I didn't know much back then but still I really loved them.
The vocals, dance, rap, visuals and everything else is just top tier. They raised the bar real high for future rookie groups. They don't even look like rookies. 4th gen idols are inhumanly talented
Them wearing shorts allowed the girls to dance to their fullest, so glad they weren't forced to wear uncomfortably tight short dresses or anything like that. Major props to the stylist!
@dOmOkOnIcHiWa VeR.4 First of all, I don't care if women do or wear anything. All I said was that they looked uncomfortable wearing them. Did I ever say to not wear that? Please don't make stories in your head. Bye
@dOmOkOnIcHiWa VeR.4 please read my comment again, I said it *seems* as if they are forced. It was my assumption. If it was wrong then sorry for spreading false news. I still don't care if people wear whatever tf they want to
@dOmOkOnIcHiWa VeR.4 I was not talking about female idols as a whole but Purple Kiss SPECIFICALLY. Swan is still a minor and should hold off on wearing revealing clothing for the time being. As for the rest of the girls, this was literally their second stage, if they were wearing short skin tight dresses in this type of intense choreography, they'd have to constantly readjust their dresses. I admit that in my original comment I should have worded 'I'm glad the stylist opted the girls to not wearing short tight dresses since it allows the girls to execute their choreography better'. And yes, I get that there are female idols who do enjoy short dresses, and I imagine as time goes on and once the girls get more comfortable onstage, then yes I could see a few members would want to wear short dresses. I literally never said anywhere that I don't like female idols wearing short dresses/skirts, so please don't put words in my mouth.
@dOmOkOnIcHiWa VeR.4 idk, maybe you were already on the defensive side for seeing so many people talking bad thinks about idols that wear short clothes, but i dont see anything offensive in their comment. It seems like the person is just pleased that they didn't wear clothes too tight that would definely ruin the delivery of such an intense and full of movements coreography. And plus, they have a minor in the group... And about the word "forced" it's well known that most groups do not choose their outfits, sometimes they can't even get a say on what they are wearing (it may not be this case, but it's pretty common).
It is so baffling cuz it feels like Purple Kiss is already a proper group with all the content they've already put out but totally forgot they've just debuted
the good thing about that is they already used to be in front of camera so once they officially debuted you can't really feel awkwardness that usually happen when you see rookie groups (which is understandable) it was a torture tho waiting for them to debut haha but worth it seeing how "prepared" they are
glad they got some time to build some kind of fanbase. Reminds me of how Seventeen debuted with a reality show and they also had Seventeen TV for years .
@@aenning Ngl, As much as I do love NingNing, she is my aespa bias. But Vocal-wise from what everyone has heard, Swan's vocals was Made to be a Main Vocalist. Her voice is elegant and addictive. From what I can tell(I could be wrong), She can sing with ease. Which I know some Main Vocalist do have a hard time doing. Swan is definitely my favorite 4th Gen Vocalists.😌 Edit: Im listening to "Black Mamba" to reassure myself that I said that to back up Swan, not to be critical to NingNing, I feel bad TwT, NingNing is still my bias♡
@@jesse_damiklover6500 I agree! I think it all comes down to the tone you prefer. Swan has a darker sound and is more melodious. Ningning (as Sm main vocalists go), has a higher register. I’m not saying it’s high pitched because she does show she can go mid low and high. But sm has so far utilized her high tone. Of course we haven’t seen what she can do just :)
Swan's little smirk in "oh bloody top" gets me everytime. Vocals - check Dance - check Visuals - check Talent - check Charisma - check She's only 17 and debuting imagine what she'd be like in a few years
Even before they debuted, people were saying how Dosie is a future "it girl" and look: She's already going viral on the day of their debut stage lmao. There's so much potential in this group. They're talented at singing, rapping and dancing, they have immaculate stage presence (ALREADY), they're funny and chaotic, they're beautiful... They literally have everything you can ask for in a group. Purple Kiss fighting!!
Swan is beautiful and I love that she has a slightly different body shape to the typical idol. all the members are gorgeous but Swan really stands out to me! she has a very pretty curvy figure and her voice is insanely amazing! all of them have such incredible presence, especially for a rookie girl group 💜 they're gonna go far
The best thing about this group is they all have such strong vocals, not even a single member has that baby voice, which you can find atleast one everywhere but purple kiss has that deep/mature raw vocals, it's just amazing
exactly this is why they’re already one of my favorite groups vocal/voice wise, honestly i didnt set such a high expectation for them but they’re mamamoo’s sisters and we all know how they have out of this world kinda vocals, I at least expected one of them to have an amazing voice and vocals but all of them did and I was genuinely surprised, me personally im really loving swan and goeun the most because of their vocals and beautiful voices. PK is seriously just the whole package.
@@owenpassionasmr3821 you’re right but theres just some people who have a preference for singing voices, like me.. I prefer deeper, mature voices over than high pitched ones but it doesn’t mean I dont like it
Can you guys tell me something? I know Purple Kiss are really talented(I have heard pre-debut songs and covers, also the harmonizations, loved them❤️)vocalists, but I feel like I can only hear the mr. Or maybe it's just their voices are super clean? I can't even hear any breathing. Please confirm that they are actually singing, I can't tell....are they already that good😭 Before you misunderstand me as an anti or troll, I am neither, these girls seemed really talented, so I wanted to stan them from their early days. Sorry if this comment sounded weird
I like these outfits better than their last performance. Especially Swan’s dress suits her much better 💜 really like this concept! And what a debut! Couldn’t have done it better ⭐️⭐️
