Preferring to live in communities inside standing dead trees, attracted to the white walls, these acrobats prefer to do most everything while in flight even scooping up water.
They stick to the same crowds and migrate to the same areas.
Most active at dusk and dawn for the many bugs, happiest on a cloudy day. Coming out to play and eat around u if ur cutting ur lawn with a push mower. if u keep your mower at the highest setting, it gives bugs alot more shade and more will hide out.... so when u cut it, the Martin's with incorporate u in their acrobatic feeding frenzy. keeping the bugs from bothering u as they swoop in within inches of u.
They have no fear, but they always take safety measures seriously, avoiding gettin close to unpredictable and high speeds of vehicles and zero turn mowers as well as weed wackers that throw debris. They have no fear except of unpredictability.
