Purple Mattress Review & Comparison | Full Guide (MUST WATCH). Owen, a certified sleep science coach, discusses our new mattress buying guide of the popular bed in a box brand, Purple. Purple is known for a unique feeling mattress thanks to its hyper-elastic polymer, also known as the GelFlex Grid. Purple recently updated its beds and now has three different mattress collections: Purple Essential Collection, Purple Premium Collection and Purple Luxe Collection. The Essential collection has the all-foam mattress options like the Purple NewDay mattress, Purple mattress and Purple Plus mattress. The Premium collection is an updated version of the old hybrid models with new names such as the Purple Restore, Purple Restore Plus and Purple Restore Premier. Lastly, the Luxe collection consists of new luxury pillow top mattresses whose names are the Purple Rejuvenate, Purple RejuvenatePlus and the Purple RejuvenatePremier mattress. As for this video, Owen touches on the mattress policies offered with the Luxe collection which includes free shipping, white glove delivery, a sleep trial, returns and a warranty. He also covers the construction of the mattress, how they feel and their firmnesses, and what sleeper type would be best for either bed (back sleepers, side sleepers, stomach sleepers and combination sleepers). My Purple 4 developed a tear in the gel matrix (after 8 years). Purple offered a replacement! Yeah! I was sick and didn't want to go into a store to jump on mattresses. So, I watched this video and took the online Purple quiz...as a side sleeper, I ended up choosing the Purple RestorePremier (Soft). HUGE mistake! It was SO soft it was like sleeping on a float in a pool. Forget turning over easily. I climbed into bed and felt like my knee sunk immediately to the bottom of the mattress! Gone was all of the motion canceling, as well. I also noticed the bed was already dipped in the middle. Even after fully "blooming" for a week...still dipping in the middle. It was absolutely awful! Once I felt better, I went into the store and confirmed the Firm version was most like my old mattress. The sales folks commented "Yeah...the soft. Most people say it's like sleeping on a water bed." Yeah :( Horribly expensive mistake on my part. Purple won't exchange my mattress (because this was a warranty replacement and they don't exchange warranty mattresses). I'm REALLY kicking myself. Love Purples (I've bought 5 in the recent years for my home, my two AirBnBs, etc.)...but go into the store to choose your model. Don't count on any online reviews or online mattress finder tools.

Yeah after a couple of years of owning one I can say without a doubt I absolutely hate it now

@@mistavoid I have the hybrid 4 and they really don’t last long at all after two years the edges come apart cuz using foam for edge is the cheapest way they can make it and the mattress support sinks into the middle of the mattress been giving me nothing but back pain since then

If you don’t love the bed…How do you return this bed? Seems difficult to ship back a bed that comes so compact and deflated that is now inflated and awkward. This is especially true in a king size.

Former employee of Purple. Left the company. poorly managed and the products are poorly made now.Full time employees are being let go and replaced with unskilled temps.Just search their current stock price.Stay away from their products.
