Greg originally released his Rojo Midge with Umpqua Feather Merchants in 1999 and not long after it was introduced in purple. Back in those days purple didn't receive the amount of credit it does today and the purple variation of this fly was discontinued. Fast forward nearly 20 years later and purple flies are all the rage and for a good reason...THEY CATCH FISH. In 2020 Umpqua decided to re-release this fly in purple once again and we couldn't be more pleased with its fish-producing qualities!
