Embarrassment yes. Unfortunately there are many powerful people working hard to ignore our institutions and tear down the rule of law to make sure he gets back into the Whitehouse. They've given new powers to State Legislatures in swing states and are training maga trolls to qualify as ballot counters. What if some of the jury is hard of hearing and having trouble understanding what they are hearing? I have never heard anyone talk of this problem when picking juries.

In baseball, if a batter is crowding the plate and a pitcher wants to back him away to give him a better strike zone, the pitcher will throw the ball directly at the batter's, uh, well let's just say most batters instinctively back away from the plate when they see it coming. That's an inside baseball, and the term when used in other situations means you wanted to back somebody away from something, so you tried to hit them where it hurts the most as a friendly warning.

It often means the details are uninteresting to most people, that the subject is esoteric. So lawyers geeking out about evidentiary rules might be cut short by normal people by calling it 'inside baseball' and wanting to move on.
