When I saw James dedicate this episode to his old cat Boo, my heart broke. I'm so sorry for your loss, James. RIP Boo. You'll always be part of the AVGN legacy.
Yes...our pets are a part of our lives and hearts that many people whom do not own pets will not understand. Our pets fill a void in most people's lives that no humans can ever fill...and when that is gone, something just goes...missing--forever.
My cat, my fluffy companion and dearest friend, died a week ago, almost exactly 15 years after we brought her into our house. She had been with me through thick and thin, and was there for me when nobody else was. We would sometimes watch AVGN videos together. She will be forever in my heart. RIP Kissa, and RIP Boo. I hope that they never run out of mice, birds and fish in the lands of eternal hunt where they are now. Thank you James for this episode, it brought a smile to my face. This was the wholesomeness I needed right now.
i hope you feel better soon. it's always hard to lose a loved one. i agree that you should get another cat as soon as you feel ready. it's not replacement (that could never be) but it'll be a whole new adventure with more laughs and joy. RIP Kissa
I feel you. From what I realized our pets go to Heaven, so we might as well reunite with them. Check a NDE (Near Death Experience) video where a woman has seen dogs. I guess cats are no exception. Hugs!
I think Boo is proud of having this episode dedicated to him, from up there, it was just too perfect, the jokes, the acting, and the game itself is a gold mine for an AVGN episode, as there are so many funny things to talk about
i said to a close friend who had lost a cat recently that he was looking down at her across from the rainbow bridge thankful for all the times he has had with her, i also too lost a longtime cat who died about 7 years ago he had 3 legs and still miss him today R.I.P Boo
Having worked on the DS predecessor on which the Wii version was based, this brought back lots of memories from 15 years ago. Some of the mechanics such as the bowl (which was originally on a separate screen on DS) and the litter box didn't translate to Wii quite as well. You forgot to mention that one of the litters you could buy in the game shop is called Buried Treasure! Thanks for this hilarious video @AVGN!
I went from laughing to crying real fast. I'm so sorry for your loss it never get easier losing our friends. I always loved seeing Boo in your videos. RIP Boo.
His old cat, Boo passed away two years ago. He still have Yeti. He dedicated Boo from the Nerd's episodes like Jaguar Part 2, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker & Nintendo Accessories reviews. RIP Boo and thanks for as a Nerdy Cat since Jaguar Part 2. 🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
Man, Boo is like family to all the avgn fans. It’s like we all lost a family member. Never thought I see a avgn episode that made me tear up a little bit. Goodbye Boo 😒
It's so bizarre to see the nerd talk about Wii, while remembering how it was a hot new console back when I started to watch AVGN. I can't wait to see some Switch reviews in a decade or so!
Man I've been missing AVGN. Rewatching the whole series is always great, but a new episode makes my whole week better. Thanks, James. You continue to inspire me in being creative.
I think I speak for everyone here saying that we need more Yeti cameos! Wholesome Nerd content is the bestest content 🐈 Edit: R.I.P Boo - The real jaguar!
Im in my early 20s and been watching AVGN since 09. I never thought id see the day where AVGN is reviewing a game which was “modern gen” back when I started watching him.
That tribute at the end was touching. I had to say goodbye to my beloved feline friend last Saturday (the 18th of June) after 22 years. Found him in our shed abandoned by his mom so we took him in and raised him. RIP to my beloved Chris and you Boo as well; hope you two are playing up in the grassy plains just beyond the Rainbow Bridge.
Love hearing James's idea for games based on things cats do, just missing the one where you gradually knock everything off a shelf. Bonus points if it's a breakable container or one holding a liquid.
Same, I actually laughed to the point of shedding tears, especially when the screen went negative and when James just stared wide-eyed with the screen reflected in his glasses, the whole bit was purrfection 😂😂😂
a foster kitten i was going to adopt passed away and what you said about cats living in the moment really helps me feel better, thanks man keep up the great work as always
To be honest, the parts where he was petting the cat and cute talking, that definitely wasn't the Nerd, it was James, being his sweet wholesome charming self.
The ending had me crying. Since I grew up with cats ever since I was a baby. The day our last cat died was devastating to me. And it's being 12 years now since he died.
Hey James, I can tell you've been studying those early Nerd epsiodes. When I went back to watch them to figure out what made them so funny, the physical gags were the moments that held up the best after over a decade of maturation and rewatches. This episode made me laugh multiple times, and the physical gags were what usually did it. Glad to see you rediscover and reinterpret the best of the old while making something new.
I loved that Christmas episode from yrs ago! One of my favs! My husband and I still watch it every Xmas. "Remember the Nintendo Wii...." lol RIP Boo sweet kitty. 😻
I remember watching the Christmas special when it was released and laughing at him doing Wii revues. I was today years old when that came to fruition. RIP Boo
Here's some interesting thing about wii controllers - they use gyroscope and accelerometer chips to track the motion. Such chips are also essential in drones as they make them able to fly and not tumble and crash. But before wii it was hard to get them as a part if you wanted to build a drone yourself. So when wii came out, the controllers were pretty cheap and had the motion chips available. People started disassembling the controllers, pulling out the chips and using them in home made drones. And generally this kinda started the whole drone popularity.
I started watching you in 2006/2007 but I didn't become a cat owner until 2020. I guarantee I wouldn't have felt everything you mentioned about cats and their attitudes if this came out before 2020. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
It feels almost unnatural to have a classic AVGN episode in the modern day, and yet here we are, talking about older AVGN episodes. You are a legend, nerd.
I find it weird that back in the NES accessories video, he was talking about Wii accessories as being the “modern equivalent”, and now he’s reviewing it.
James, that ending hit me hard. And the most heartbreaking thing is that your cat Boo passed away in 2020. And I've never knew your cat's name was Boo. I've only seen your cat in some of your videos. RIP, Boo.
17:42 That ending actually made me cry. I'm not even lying. R.I.P Boo. James, why you gotta make me cry like that? My deepest condolences to James and his family.
This was perfect, loved this episode. And here I thought AVGN was done. So happy to see a new one and about cats period. Beautiful Boo,always be missed & lobed. RIP Boo
@@ianeons9278 Well, then you were quicker to discover the Nerd than me. Enjoy it, the things you start experiencing now and in the coming years will be the fondest memories of all when you're getting older!
You've never lost your AVGN essence. It felt like watching the old classics, you know? Just amazing. On a side note: not even your cat escapes your unique insults 😂
Having also lost my 13-year-old cat in 2020, this episode hit a bit too close to home. 😢 RIP Boo! RIP Chucky! Thank you for this one, James. This was a really funny but still adorable episode.
Yep, hit me in the feels too. It's been almost 6 years since two of my most beloved pets ever each passed away in 2016, less than 3 months apart from each other. Not only were they my best friends, but they were also very close to each other. Brings up difficult emotions, but just goes to show how much I truly loved them.
@@beauwalker9820 Perhaps I should mention, that same episode also has a part where he's playing Shaq-Fu on Genesis. I get the feeling a few people missed it.
Really? I don't think the PSP has that much shovelware when i see a video list of the games it has the DS on the other hand? man i might say it's a Portable Wii because of the infinite shovelwares it has
A total cinematic masterpiece. One of the greatest moments in film history is when the Nerd has self realization that he is playing a game with cat turds!!!a game made just for him..mwagghhh..chefs kiss!!
I lost my dogs last year. died due to old age and the other with a broken heart. I understand what it's like to lose a pet or even a family friend. Thank You Nerd for cheering me up with your videos man. Without you, THE NERD and the cinemassacre crew I wouldn't be the person I am today. Thank you 😊💓☺
