Purrfectly Imperfect | Caring for a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia 

My CH cat "Forrest" could not take more than one step when he was young. I took him in and gave him massage therapy daily, chiropractic care and I used a PEMF system on him. Now he can walk across the yard without falling much.

Also we provided our Tux with the soft toddler bowls. They are soft to protect sensitive noses, and do not move. We made a little stand and put a Dog Buddy Bowl in it for water. No spills, easy access. Also our wobbly developed very strong muscles with our laminated floors. Now we have carpet and he can fly around really fast and loves the fact that he can trot and high step now.

It really does cut into your day and I am retired. Using the rug shampooer every day. Adjusting many things. Carrying a big crate outside so she can watch the birds in safety and get fresh air. Lifting her to the bed. It's like having a baby. Mine is severe and was abandoned. Can barely walk a yard before falling or laying down. I am so sad.

My CH kitty Astra has been vet consulted and told to keep on 2 room basis based on her mild case. she has lots of hiding room, lots and lots of toys, towers, water fountain, and scheduled feeding times almost to the dot. the vet says she’s super healthy but i feel as if i could give her more, she has scratch boards, and a “scratch arch” she uses to help groom herself. her litter boxes are large and she has access to 2. is there anything i can do to stimulate her more? she always has so much energy and i try to give her options, and i play with her immensely.
