the last bit gave me an idea... add sleep gas into the plasmaflood mix, also you may add some prepared superheated gas to add into the mix so the plasmaflood selfignite...
Superheated gas would make plasma ignite and burn out in the pipe itself, sleep gas does work wonderfully though. So long as they don't have internals since they see a flaming room which they can guess probably isn't breathable
@@cultistofdarkness1661 isnt a good burn mix like 60/40 plasma and oxygen? i wonder whether changing distro to that ratio instead would make a better flood?
@@Burger19985 necromancing a thread heh, yes, making just the plasma mix is good, preheating it is the bad part, since you'll have the whole distro pipe network acting as a burn tank for plasma, so you'll be left with hot co2. Premixing a plasma burn and igniting it in rooms as you switch air alarms Is the usual way you'd plasma flood yes.
On a different branch of SS13, I just turned off air distribution at round start, so that the station air pipes remained empty. Then set up most of the public air alarms to not care about outside pressure, just pump at maximum. As the air distro was empty, they didn't notice anything. Just an atmos tech going around, checking air alarms. After that was done, I set up a tritium fusion in the incinerator, and piped it directly into the air distribution system. Then the main hallways immediately became the Sun. Hundred thousand Kelvin temperatures, millions of kiloPascals of pressure... I got antag banned for a month, because on that server, even as antag, you are not allowed to do a complete station wipe.
you want it cold, really, here's why - as the cold plasma and sleep gas flood in, they drop the temperature, which drops the room pressure, which quickly pulls more plasma in from distro as it tries to get back to 101.3kpa, causing a cascade (more gas = less pressure = more gas). just breathing can be enough to trigger it since co2 gets scrubbed, pulling in from distro regularly. Then you don't need to fuck with air alarms to get it started, where there are people there is plasma, and sparks happen on their own and flaming bodies carry it between rooms This can also be used more innocuously by say, clowns, to flood the station with cold water vapor for stationwide slippage - and as it deposits it drops the temp even more pulling more in. Miasma is another prank option with limited bad consequences for the station (just some fun for medical to deal with and maybe a wrongfully lynched viro). Once the fun is set up, a flamethrower with cold gas can be used to kickstart the cascade in zones - or the new "condenser" components that are opposite "igniters" (they freeze down to 50k).
You made me recall my perfect plasmaflood - I made additional pipes directly connected to system. Pretty stealthy. Just a few pipes under the floor but engineers of that round couldn't figure out why plasma don't stop flowing after disabling mixers etc. And for making fire you could use RPD - it sparks when switching pipes. You need suit tho since it start fire from tile you're standing on.
Tips for plasmaflooding: Fill distro with 100% oxygen first, start setting scrubbers to scrub nitrogen, but make sure you max all the waste line pipes and dump the gas directly into space. Once you have most of the rooms enriched with oxygen then you mix the plasma in, you only need a little bit of plasma, 5% maybe, so you start getting oxygen enriched fires that start forming tritium and radiation hell.
Here's a tip for fucking up the SM: pump CO2 and disable the scrubbers then destroy the air alarm. You can also just pump it full of N2 and the AI won't have a clue what you're doing because N2=Good but the build up in moles causes a singuloose which is why you don't want the scrubbers working. More moles = faster it asplodes
I've seen only one better. A perfect burn round where someone hooked up distro for a hellburn mix at perfect ratio. The fires within a few seconds get hot enough to melt airlocks. Theres also some ideas ive been tinkering with but am not sure they're possible with using a smoker and a scrubber or pump of some kind to distro certain chems.
@@mister_bomb7777 that’s a shame but a challenge I guess, I am unsure if it should be made easier or not since it seems like it’s meant to be an achievement
@@icotica921 I mean, centcom has to rip a literal hole in reality just to get some of the crew out, and once the cascade starts it's impossible to stop. I think it should be a rare occurrence.
Super glad to see you putting out new content. I've honestly never understood the mystic ways of Atmosia but I've always appreciated what it can do - even if I end up toast.
start like this: chill down the distro using heat exchangers in space pipe plasma directly into the distro that way cold plasma will be released everywhere each time it happens that will cool down the room thus reducing the preassure in the room causing more plasma to be released creating a vicious circle that releases more and more plasma people will either freeze to death or burn to death
Thanks. No, I wouldn't put Glacier on a kill list just for messing up atmospherics one time, and besides that he plays on fulpstation so I'd get banned eventually if I just griefed people as antag there.
@@DirkMcBlade I forget about the SS13 ecosystem, as I'm more of a watcher than a player. Done some Goone, and that was fun. But I think the real beauty of that game comes out from content like yours. That said, I remember you bemoaning Fulp's harder edges compared to your preferred haunting grounds. So, the Glacier thing makes sense after you explained it.
Most i ever did in terms of plasma fire was the quarter of a station one time with some tools to lock doors open and some plasma cans. Its fun to be a fire spreading antag Pra1se Z0rg
