A-37's incident report: "On 11/25/2024, I was notified that the North Little Rock Police Department was in pursuit of a black Nissan Sentra and was requesting the assistance of the Arkansas State Police. I responded to the State Highway 161 and Interstate 440 area ahead of the pursuit. After a short time, I observed a black Nissan Sentra traveling at a high rate of speed, exiting Interstate 440 as I awaited at the bottom of the exit ramp. The suspect vehicle, being operated by Dustin YANCY, then maneuvered around a vehicle at the bottom of the exit ramp and turned right (east) onto State Highway 161. I turned behind the suspect vehicle and initiated my emergency lights and siren as the YANCY crossed the double yellow line, passing a pickup truck. He attempted to accelerate away from me to continue fleeing. I informed Troop A dispatch that I was behind the suspect vehicle and in pursuit as the suspect vehicle made a slight right turn onto Wooten Drive. YANCY accelerated to speeds exceeding 110 MPH on the narrow two-lane road, passing vehicles and driving in the opposing traffic lane. We then approached the intersection of Wooten and East Valentine Road, as YANCY applied the brakes to the suspect vehicle, causing the tires to skid as he began to lose control of the car, with the rear of the vehicle beginning to slide left and right. YANCY regained control of the suspect vehicle as I accelerated toward him, approaching to conduct a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI). As my patrol vehicle approached the rear bumper of the suspect vehicle, YANCY turned sharply to the left (north), exiting the roadway onto a gravel parking area and driving over a large pile of gravel rocks. YANCY then steered onto Jeter Park Loop and continued to flee south. YANCY fled north, negotiating a 90-degree left curve in the roadway, continuing north for a short distance. As I began to catch up to the suspect vehicle again, YANCY slowed the suspect vehicle, opened the driver's door, and exited the vehicle as it continued to roll, running into the south tree line of the roadway. I continued behind the suspect vehicle as it rolled north, approaching it to conduct a TVI and cease its movement before it could roll into a residence. As I neared the vehicle, the passenger, Chasitie HENRY, reached across the center column and applied the brakes to the suspect vehicle, bringing it to a stop. I then initiated a felony traffic stop on the vehicle and informed the responding North Little Rock Police units of YANCY's travel direction and clothing description. I then placed HENRY into custody without further incident. A short time later, North Little Rock Police advised me they had YANCY in custody. With YANCY and HENRY apprehended, North Little Rock Police assumed custody of both persons and the suspect vehicle. As a result of this incident, several controlled substances were located, including Fentanyl and various other paraphernalia items related to the trafficking and distribution of narcotics. Due to this, YANCY is being charged with multiple counts of possession of controlled substances with the purpose of delivering, trafficking in Fentanyl, furnishing/possessing/using/delivering prohibited articles, fleeing by the use of a vehicle or conveyance (exceeding the speed limit), and fleeing on foot. HENRY was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, Meth/Cocaine. The North Little Rock Police Department assumed control over the investigation, and I took no further action."
Trooper Caviness, great job. Don't know what I will be doing on 11/25/24, besides watching this video again😂. Kudos to LR PD. I enjoy seeing awesome teamwork. Thank you NST. Great Saturday morning NST, James, family and newbies! My only concern is at my age I can’t stay up late so I play catch up in the morning! Makes a super way to start my day! James, you’re the best!
At least the passenger stopped the car and didn't resist. All in all, not a bad pursuit and no damage. Outstanding job by all agencies. STAY SAFE OUT THERE.
Man, I can't imagine carrying around Narcan in your purse like its a tube of lipstick, SMH! Glad they got some gloves, can't imagine, well I guess I can, what else was in her purse and the car. Stay safe everybody. Thank you James!!! 😎

Fentynal is some nasty stuff. My mom was on fentynal patch for a couple years and it was a nightmare. She was a totally different person once she got off the stuff. So glad she did. She couldn’t understand why ER staff would treat her like a junkie. She doesn’t even remember how she acted and treated them. Worst drug ever prescribed for average patient for pain. No that it’s on the street it’s in everything. Just awful.

If no lights and siren, how do we as the public know to pull to the right and get out of their way? Personally, I'd like to know there are vehicles coming at me 100 mph so I can protect myself and my vehicle as much as possible
@@drfranks1158 probably because he's a lawsuit waiting to happen. no different than a traffic stop, the passenger isn't required to id or get tickets for speeding, and certainly aren't subject to being slammed on the ground without any evidence of resisting.
@@user-sx7zo3ru6m make better friends, this isn't the first time the guy was a fool.. an obvious punk to stay away from. Choices, people choose to be clowns and fools. Make better choices.
Um… passenger did not obey commands and was reaching in pockets the entire time. That tends to earn rough handling by police. Car was full of drugs. It has s unlnown what her involvement is with that. So yeah. Passenger is going to get cuffed and stuffed every time. Can prove her innocence in court. Trooper Caviness just did his job.
