2020, at age 52, I entered Miami Ultra Race for the first time, push/paddle division. So honored to have skated alongside these amazing people and their fun "posses". Felt so welcomed from moment I checked in. I also raised about $600 for a couple of charities :) Congratulations to all highlighted in this superb movie. See you in 2021!! Skate on.........

Amazing movie and so inspiring. Thank you. New to downhill skateboarding and skateboarding in general (9 months ago) at age of 54, now 55. Cool to see other opportunities that you compete against yourself with a welcoming community. Awesome.

This is a nice short documentary. It would've been nice if more people involved in the sport were included. Perhaps there'll be more features on the sport.

Great documentary guys! I haven't been at ultraskates outside of the Netherlands, but still this movie makes me feel the vibe despite it being on the other side of the world. The progress that this discipline is going through is amazing. This documentary adds really nice to the part I've seen in the Netherlands. Also it's nice to see my footage being used in this production! I could probably have provided you with the raw movie clips from the Dutch Ultraskates. :)

A great insight to a part of skateboarding that had remained hidden from me in 45 years of skating! Incredible endurance and commitment, totally impressive! The most I have ever gone was 35miles in one push and I was shattered 🤣 Time to up my game... 🕉💖🛹

Great movie. Super inspiring and gave me goosebumps. But you got it all wrong lol. The REAL movie drama is the Clydesdale division. Breaking boards on the track, talking smack all year, weigh in drama like a prized UFC fight, knees blowing out. 😁 😂 Haha.

Nuts! I say that respectfully though. I can pump for about two hours on a top mount longboard, doing about 10mph. Pushing I wouldn’t even know. I take two pushes, get on the board and never set a foot down. 24 hours must be torture. I wouldn’t mind doing a 10 mile race. Curious if there are shorter races.

Great video. I'm pretty new to Long Distance Longboarding. Do you have any advice regarding loose or tight trucks? I have a symmetrical Double Drop deck with Paris 180 50° trucks and 85mm wheels. Is it better to have the rear truck tighter than the front? Or rather loose trucks all the way?

Not sure how fair it is for a man to take the woman's record...
@TheLoadedLongboard
@TheLoadedLongboard 10 месяцев назад
The idea of the event is a bit out there. I had a friend that has attended. All I can say about it is that it is wrong for you to allow a biological male, someone whose body developed based on male, not female, signals. Over time, these differences add up. As you can clearly see by simply comparing anatomy. That gender woman should compete against the biological men. That doesn't mean people are not going to call them a woman. Women don't want to compete against men, just as men who are hobbyists do not want to compete against pros. The levels of physical development are so different it ruins the fun of the sporting competition. Remember there are rules for a reason, an advantage that is unfair should be accounted for in the rules. There is a serious metal health crisis among the youth. You adding to the fantasy does not help. Fantasy, often times is used as a weapon of manipulation.
@TheLoadedLongboard
@TheLoadedLongboard 9 месяцев назад
If you doubt allowing biological men to compete against women will reduce the number of women competing, check out this year's (oct '23) Chicago CrossCup. They had 20% the number of women enter compared with previous years because the two best racers in the women's division were biological men. That's not being kind. Trans women need to be respectful and kind to women. Do not "be accepted" at the expense of others... Be accepted as a woman competing against men. It's not that hard, but we all know your motives are not honest.
@jmarine1933
@jmarine1933 Год назад
Calleigh Little was born a male and should compete as a male. The organizers of this event catered (caved in) to one transgender athlete at the expense and unfairness to REAL female competitors. No amount of makeup or pretty little female outfits can take away the FACT that this competitor was born with and still has a physical advantage over REAL female competitors. Calleigh being the “female” world record holder at this event is simply wrong and not fair to naturally born female competitors. Is it that complicated? I have nothing against transgender individuals. Do whatever makes you happy in your life. Just don’t do things that take away accomplishments unfairly from others. But that’s what happens when Calleigh competes against REAL female athletes. Compete as a male or compete in a transgender only category. But don’t compete in a category that “physically” you don’t belong in.
