I can't say this enough Mike! Thank you for being undeterred in fighting for us, & keeping the cause alive for Disabled Canadians. They say that an issue is forgotten by most within 6 weeks. This stands very true, & politicians know this they figure Canadians will forget within that time frame that people with disabilities live in deep poverty, & no one will care after that. So Thank You for keeping the topic alive. If only the legacy media would care as much to keep it alive. I know Mike Serre. He's from my home town, & to hear him repeat the exact same words as Kamal Khera is deeply hurtful. They just don't care! Are there petition forms that are not online that I could get my hands on to distribute in my area?

this is crazy how they don't answer questions and regurgitate the same thing over and over. I am gong to be homeless because i don t make enough on disability. being demo-evicted, and going to be homeless. I am very sick and won't survive, I don't qualify for the DTC so what do I do? i won't see any help or be pulled out of poverty. all i can think about is maid. but that wouldn't come in time either. my hearing is July 8th. I have lived here 21years. it is a duplex house with 3 apts. the guy downstairs is in the same position as I. so we will both be severely sick and homeless. we have no family to assist. what do we do?Hamilton ON. thanks Ginger
They need to deliver the $2,400 that they said they were going to roll out to people in their bank accounts and it should be coming out asp not a year later and a supplement check monthly so people can buy food and live they give it to everybody else but they're not giving it to disabled people that is a sin government on the government behalf
Thanks for your continued passion, Mike. The Liberals are playing with numbers. You were told that 25,000/yr PWDs will be helped max., yet they repeat 600,000+...so which is it? If only 25,000 maximum, the math works out like this: 25,000 x $2400/year = 60 million! So where exactly is the promised 1 Billion dollars per year of investment in CDB? Where did it go...??
Thank you Mike. As an ODSP recipient, I believe they want us to use MAID program and/or keep us as bottom feeders. We are costing them too much money I guess 😢
There exists an irrational hatred of the poor. I don't even know what the word is for this phenomenon but there is a massive bias in human psychology to hate and feel disgust for the poor. It would cost so much less to help people become well and help prevent people from becoming unwell. Voters and the politicians that pander to their base emotions don't even want to have to *think* about us. Seeing us or having the subject come up makes then angry, aggressive, and totally shuts down their empathy. I think we need study on the subject of irrational hatred of the poor so that some of the institutionalized biases many of us are all too familiar with can be conceptualized in a way that people in power can understand and address. But, honestly, it's not that complicated. Maybe nothing can be said to make a person understand when they do not wish to.

Thank you Mike, what infuriates me is there lack of answers when you ask them a question. They're like a broken record, repeat answer like a robot. This isn't acceptable, as a disabled person I expected better. $200 is a slap in the face and to add insult to injury, it won't be rolled out until July 2025. The Liberals aren't holding up to there end. Lots of money for millionaire companies, but not for the disabled. Mike something has to be done immediately. Thank you for your strong voice again.
Being on CPPD, that would bump me to only $1200.00 per month. But I won't get it due to not having the disability tax credit and having a husband with an income, even though it's barely a living wage these days. Thanks for continuing the fight Mike, you just have to love how they don't actually answer a single question you ask.

This is all a repeat of 2015. I voted Liberal in 2015 because they promised electoral reform. Then they did the exact same kind of "consultation" where they asked us what kind of policy change we wanted, ignored our responses entirely, did absolutely nothing, and patted themselves on the back for a job well done.
CPP disability says L4 and L5 disc herniations severe and prolonged requirements met unable to sustain any gainful employment for now and the foreseable future. Yet the WCB says L4 damages where considered assymptomatic at my first appeal in 2006. I was recommended L4 disc decompression in dec/2004 the first time. In 2008 second appeal I was deemed and CPP became a colateral benefit and deducted accordingly. In 2016 losing everything I decide to try class 1 thinking possible? Mistake. I have a 2017 MRI from same hospital as 2004. MRI says Large L4 compressing nerve root "A new fimding"? Ah No! I make a statement of disagreement with hospital. Not a new finding. I bring to wcb and appeal and request reconsideration. The new chief appeal commissioner Mrs Karen Dyck says I should have known through my own due diligences? Denied. So I then make human rights complaint and the Manitoba Legislative Assembly makes a new policy giving the executive director the right to dismiss without investigation. Mr Jima says don't have jurisdiction? So discrimination,negligences and torture is acceptable????? Twice!!!!!
What shocks me the most is that no one has met with Ontario to talk about clawbacks. Seriously WTF have they been doing for the last 3 years? Wouldn’t that be one of the first things they should have done? And why did they have round table meetings and an online portal only to ignore all recommendations? They keep regurgitating the same thing - largest line item (not true), historical legislation blah blah Shameful
@@olivergoncalves1217 yes, 2025 the 200 bucks. Any more money to lift out of poverty is probably not until 2028. Most of us need the money now not until we are too old to qualify!

Hi, I really can’t wait to see my income increases because right now we don’t even receive enough to cover the rent. Receiving $1100 per month and we pay our rent already 1000$ so when are we going to be able to leave in peace without worrying all the time. I pray for you to make sure that everyone like me. That would be great to see something in our bank account. Right now I’m paying my bills with credit cards. And that not too good. Thanks for understanding our situation.
