Hello sir, I m a student of Civil Engineering from Mumbai I want to mention that I am watching your Etabs series and it is awesome 😍😍😍 Best Etab course in hindi 🌹♥️
Sir at time 25:02, it is said that intersection point is performance point. But performance point is intersection of capacity and demand while in video it is intersection of capacity and its bilinear curve. What is correct?
Nice informative video. 1. How to determine the displacement value you took 300mm. (from which code)? 2.For steel structure when I define section property (Built up section)..while assigning the hinges it shows error. 3. How to get the graph of Perfromance point..Where capacity curve..demand curve are overlapped.
@@JitendraChoubisa Hello, what if we want to do an analysis for displacement over 1000 mm? My analysis doesn't go above 500 mm displacement. I want to see the full pushover static capacity curve going up to crack and end.
Hello sir, I hope you are doing well. I'm having problem in assignment of hinges. I've 18.1.1 version of Etabs but hinges option is not visible. I've used your technique as well but of no use. Can you please help?
Hey jitendra I am planning to start a construction for a 4 story house and I am thinking to design it myself, how should I go,will your playlist help in that? Or it is just in basics?
No one can teach you advance level of any software, Wherever you'll go, they'll teach basics, Advance level can only be achieved by yourself and with full consciousness. So my tutorials are yah basics, loadings, geometry all are basic, learn the method from here and do it by yourself for other projects. Best wishes.
In the model initialization step in steel design code we select is 800:700 and concrete design code we select is 456:2000 and if we frame a rcc building ,then what is the purpose of selecting is 800:2007 because it is used for is frame section ismb ,isa etc
See, software at that FIRST step doesn't know that what user is going to draw in upcoming steps. So to concise its processing area or you can say to save time, It asks in FIRST step that what code are you going to use (whether for concrete or steel), it makes software to think and process only according to those codes not other, so yes that is a good step and needs to be whether you use steel or not.
hello sir, introduce my name is diana fika i am a final year student at one of the universities in indonesia majoring in civil engineering, i want to ask about pushover analysis for my thesis reference
Bro I have one question: as I know we should follow strong column/weak beam strategy and so plastic hinges must be formed in all beams first and the only columns where plastic hinges should be formed are columns at the base. But here as we can see hinges are mostly formed in columns (also in columns other than base columns) and that clearly means that when earthquake will come then first columns will get damaged or collapse and we really don’t want this to happen as it will be a total failure of structure. Can you please explain why you have no problem with hinges forming in columns other than beams? Also with hinges formed in columns other than the base columns? Please do answer. I’m really confused now. Please please answer.
THE P-M-M INTERACTION SURFACE IS NOT CONVEX,. HINGE PROPERTY: C2H1,. RELATIVE ERROR = 0.020107, THE SURFACE WAS ABLE TO BE ADJUSTED mera ye error aa raha hai kya kare
hello sir, what is mean in your vidio about after pushover analysis , showing that Displacement Pa- X step 0/35 [mm]. is that displacement represent your building moving cause earthquake until 35 mm with direction X ? because i was trying after finish the problem all member passed, then i try to analysis pushover , and then my etabs showing Pa-X step 0/4 [mm] , what is mean of 0/4 [mm] ? , is that my building just moving until 4mm with direction X because my SDS and SD1 in respond spectrum ? thank you sir
Wheather we can can model and design and do the pushover analysis simultaneously. Or it is necessary to 1st model design and unlock the structure then do the pushover analysis. Do reply me
Pushover analysis helps in checking which members are lacking in performance so that we can take care of those, while designing. So basically, Pushover is necessary before finalizing the design
Hello, I want to give validation to my etabs software, could you please share the source of your example? Is there any research paper or refence book? So, I can compare answers in my thesis work.
hello sir introduce my name is diana fika i am a final year student at one of the universities in indonesia majoring in civil engineering, i want to ask about pushover analysis for my thesis reference . I want to ask if for categories for building performance structures using FEMA or ATC? thank you
Hello bro there are two method to analyse push over analyis 1 st is displacement coefficient method (DCM,FEMA356) 2nd is Capacity spectrum method(CSM,ATC40) I want to know which method u have applied in ur analysis in elabs ur video from above two methods. ?
hello sir, i wanna ask something, in minutes 11:19 why you don't use the live load for nonlinear static ? but you just use the dead load for non linear static. what the reason? thank you sir
Hello Sir, Myself Omkar Khandagale 2nd year M.tech (structural engineering) student. We have to do project in this year. Can you suggest me some topics for project and can guide me on that. Plz suggest me some topics that can be done or analysed using softwares. And one more question is that which software we can use to anayse SLANTED HIGH RISE BUILDING.. PLZZ HELP ME OUT.. THANK YOU😊
hello sir , if my structure not all member passed, aka 60 warning concrete, may i continue to next step pushover? or i should change dimension until i got all member passed , but the problem is thats i got in as build drawing from project, then its ok i change or i just use that etabs 60 warning then i continue to check pushover analysis?
See, you have to be passed structurally in order to have a pushover Analysis. So yes, first make your model structurally passed (by increasing sizes, or improving materials) and then go for PA.
hello sir, your video for Etabs was nice, please soon upload a video of seismic analysis at different angle of incidence of ground motion rather than the principle axis of the structure
hello mister, why my etabs shows warning like this ? "maximum number of null steps reached for case pushover X subsequent results will not be available" "maximum number of null steps reached for case pushover Y subsequent results will not be available" my structure was asimetris , from 1st floor until 10 floor that area big---to-- small so thats make asimetris , that null steps just can show 2 steps . How to solve this problem? should me use monitor displacement at 4/5 floor that area still big. thank you.
You can run it but To save time I haven't used it because pushover Analysis takes a lot of time to get completed. There are researchers out there who have used different load combination and have studied the behaviour under pushover Analysis. So you can use it.
Hello. I am analyzing a 3D reinforced concrete structure using UBC 97 as auto lateral load and ETABS default hinges. When I run the analysis, the pushover curve is only until the linear part. What should I do?
Sir if we increase no of stories still all process are same na???? If something needs to change, what will change? Plz tell me I need it's for my pg project....
This types if warning came when you have not modelled correctly, like while drawing beams you have drawn one beam over another, if warning are more in number then it is advise to remodel the whole structure again
@@JitendraChoubisa i tried it but nothing shown in the soil profile box.modify/show soil profile option showing only and nothing else .how to know for which soil profile we have done our analysis
After completion Push over analysis and when I am going to run then "Errors in creating Frame element Hinges". This msg show's please guide now what to do so that such type of msg not come again
hi handsome, i loved your voice video and face too ....actually mujhe aisa hi explanation wala video mil sakta hai for seismic analysis of building with floating column by time history method??? mai intzar karungi
😂 Thanx for such a adoring comment. You can try watching my whole of the Etabs series, I've showed the process of modelling in it, you can draw/model accordingly and can apply the time history analysis by watching Time history analysis video..
