Bale was CL final and further away but lets be honest, karius was pure dogshit in this game + knocked out by ramos😅 every midclass goalkeeper would have saved bale bycicle no doubt

Not necessarily. It was the year Ronaldo left Real Madrid. The year he should've won The Best award as well. The only explanation I find for the decisions on both the Puskas and The Best awards is that Florentino Perez was salty about CR7 leaving for Juventus, so he uses all of his influence to turn the decision on both awards (lets be real, we all know UEFA and FIFA fix the winners)

If you ever played football, you know how great Cr7 Goal against Porto was. The first touch, turning to the goal, put the ball in front of you and bang it from that distance into the net.. technically very difficult.

Those who say the Salah award is not fair do not understand football. Puskas is given for the most beautiful goal. Ronaldo or other players also scored beautiful goals, but they scored with one effort. That is, their goals were beautiful but not attractive. Salah worked harder to score his goal. .that goal was his own. his other partners did not create a situation for him.

Its been like that since god knows how long. I think its because balon d'Or was/is French thing, the Frenchies hate England even when their own players performed godly they refused to award them simply because they played for english club (Thierry Henry for example)
