Living that rough life I see, brother! I always know I can count on you to show me islands I didn't know about before instead of ones everyone knows about.
Right, ther eis always someone out there who is going to make a video about PhiPhi Island and act like it is not on the top of every tourist list or Chang island in the gulf like it is some unknown place. It's nice when some of the Thailand RU-vidrs go out and find unique things to discuss.
Awesome Islands, Awesome Beaches, Awesome View Point, Awesome Thailand .......Everything is AWESOME in this video, thank you Chris, You are the Awesome person that makes so many people happy is this bad times.👊👍👌
I loved bottle beach!!!! We went squid fishing, played frisbee on the beach. My wife and I both got traditional bamboo chute tattoos poolside and I learned how to spin poi on that beach and on Railay west!
Was in Samui in 1982. Could only get there by boat. Stayed at a family run 'resort' in a hut on Chaweng Beach. Very primitive relative to today. So glad I saw it before it was developed. Greetings from Victoria BC. Thanks so much for the great videos! Much respect, Chris!
Was there in ‘80..stayed at Big Buddha bungalow (next to ferry drop) then Chaweng for a few days then discovered Johny’s bungalows at the far end of Lamai beach for another 3 weeks No way to describe the vibe now lol! Cheers
@@Jack-2day Hi Bruce. I don't remember much except hitching the short ride in the back of a local pickup with a group of farm workers to the Big Buddha, and when a drowned Vietnamese boat person washed ashore. Locals were out on the beach at first light and buried him there on the spot for fear the 'guests' like me would see it. Good times! Cheers!
I was on that viewpoint 5 days ago, didn’t going down to the beach because I thought it would be totally empty because of Covid. Now I definitely going to bottle beach tomorrow! Great video🤩😃!
Last Christmas, We had the best time on Captain Yves's boat, he really is the best. he and his crew were friendly, fun, and accommodating and took us to lots of hidden spots. he also prepared some lovely lunch boxes and the boat ride was very smooth for me (prone to seasicknesd). we are excited to come back to KSM and go on our next adventure with Yves soon!🥂🥂
Ahh Chris, you made it to Bottle Beach! You know I have stories from that beach, but some I can't tell LOL - however, this is the beach that my husband and I fell in love back in 1996 and the rest is history, plus we also had a Thai Blessing Ceremony with friends and family on that beach for my husband's 50th birthday. Can't wait to get back there.
I was at the viewpoint in December. Walked all the way from Buri Rasa to the viewpoint and after to bottle beach, then back to the Hotel. That was a crazy hike.
Omg! Bottle beach. The place we keep coming back for years now, the place where my husband proposed to me! I was waiting for you to go there eventually. Thank you for this amazing video! Can’t wait to meet you one day!!! 💘
That sound track towards the end had to be about the best electronic track my ears ever have heard in a YT video before!! Totally transported into the video like I discovered it for the first time along with you Chris cheers! BTW those drone shots had me goin too!
Love the video. Stayed a month on Phangan back in July and hiked up to bottle beach probably 5 times. Go up to Kho Ra sometime if you make it further into the island! Btw, I'm on Koh Samui myself. Long time fan of the channel - any chance I could help with your monthly give back if you'll be doing on here on the island??
Another great video Chris. Thanks for working so hard on our behalf. I hope to join you in the retired in Thailand life in the next year. Until then, I continue to live vicariously through you. Keep knocking it out of the park.
Wow. Beautiful. Not too sure about the honeymoon suite. ☺🤣😂That was some hike. Well done. Amazing views. Great video. Good vibes. Thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend.
C.J. you never stop to amaze us with the best unknown places, it sure does need to get on the bucketlist buddy 👊 Thanks for sharing it with this select little club of stakeholders 😉 And as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🙌🍻
Amazing islands! I was out of breath watching you climb that mountain to the viewpoint. I could never walk out on that viewpoint, not sure I could crawl out there. hahaha Thanks for the escape. 🧘🏻❤☮
Hey, there is a new way to get to that viewpoint. The walk to the top is only 15 minutes by the new short cut way. When you go motorbike to the bottle beach entrance there will be a sign saying parking turn left but instead drive straight for 3 minutes and there is a small sign on a tree (left hand side) just park there and walk 15 minutes, not at all steep, perfect for beginners.
Love the idea. It feels like something that the first printed guides did many years ago before becoming mainstream. But with the video you add what's missing.
Bottle beach is my fave chill spot on the island for sure. No cops go there at all because it's too much hassle when they could so easily bust people on Haad Rin instead. I had the furthest hut for 150 baht with toilet and also had one with out toilet for 100 baht but it looks like they have built newer ones now. That was back in 2000, 2001 and 2008! Did that great hike a few times!! Miss that place so much. Personally I have never had a bungalow with air con it's just not needed if there is a breeze imho.Happy Travels
Yeah Mr Christ. That places so amazing. On the boat and sea with cool beers. Another job should be do that s fishing in calm of the clearing sea. Thanks brother.
So is the hike hard or are you outta shape? LOL Better get back to our push ups eh? GORGEOUS video once again. Loved the TOP OF THE WORLD!! ❤ My god, just spectacular! Just sent the link to Gav - hopefully you'll get to hang together again soon xo CHEERS!
The video was great as usual. I am in Ban Pang, east of Phayao and the smoke here is terrible right now. I would really like to inspire people here to change their ways and I think an E Bike would make a good impression. We need to get Thailand to shift gears mentally (as well as Lao and Berma); to be considerate of the environment. I think I could start some sort of movement up here. Less noise with the E Bike is a plus too. So jealous of life on Samui!
Drop dead AWESOME!!! But have you thought to go to 60FPS? To me, most of the VDO is a choppy slideshow. Too choppy. 60FPS would make it smooth and liquid, and much more beautiful to watch. Maybe do a test to see what your audience wants. ies
I stayed at Bottle Beach about 3 years ago, before "Covid". There was literally nobody there but me. I was great! But a little boring talking to the birds after 3 days.
Honeymoon suite . More like Hospital suite for me . That would have killed me lol.. . Koh Rap looks amazing. . On a to do list now. . Thanks Chris . . :-)
we JUST made a video on it too, showing what the trail is like as we go - we did it with two little people so you should be fine, for an adult i'm guessing about an hour up
Those bungalows on bottle beach are nice but it's dead in the middle of no where and very difficult to get to even to that location on a bike we had to park and take a nice hike down. It rained and we never mad it to view point. And always take a dog never understood why until a dog seeked out a huge Komodo dragon before we could even notice.
