CTSO is a security pact than a military alliance, in short the only good thing CTSO offers is cheaper military equipment from Russia and the now and then mercenaries. NATO on other hand offers full protection from any nation that intends invasion via article 5, it also offers defence and security packages for allies which ultimately makes CTSO obsolete
