Not really. Either that or he is being dishonest. Kursk has proven to be the dumbest thing Ukraine could have done. The only reasons worth committing to it were to divert Russian troops in the Donbas or capture the Kursk nuclear power plant as a bargaining chip. It became apparent within a week neither of those things would happen. Russia doubled down there. They have been gaining ground in the most fortified areas of Ukraine at their fastest rate in two years. All for ground they can't afford to hold.

I do not think Ukraine needs to win. Imagine the war going on for longer. I think Russia needs to suffer economic and political break down for this war to end. Putin just has nothing in his DNA that allows him to retreat from the occupied territories and settle the matter. On the other side it will be very hard for Ukraine to fight back and take back all the occupied territories. It is almost impossible and the price is too high to pay. The long term negative effects of the war on Russia might be the more important factors compared to territories. Ukrain can sustain the economic side of the war for as long as it is backed up by the European and American economies. This war will not be decided by military equipment or numbers of soldiers, but by barrels of oil sold, working refineries, wages paid and bridges, railways and roads built. The economy ends as soon as there is no longer sustainable production and transport of goods, local government, schools and infra structure rebuilt and no wages be paid.

I think American’s need to do a better job of educating their kids on world history so they are more informed and can make better political decisions. When I was in high school (in Canada) our history teacher asked us when the WWI started. The American kid put up his hand and said: 1916!!! We all rolled our eyes and shook our heads. Growing up in Canada we knew it was 1914. We had to tell him that what he was taught was when the Americans entered the war, NOT when the war was started! This kind of disinformation and American only history needs to be put into context otherwise, they believe it as truth - at least at the high school level.

I agree with Gen.Hodges,Kate and TR are the best with your insightful interviews.Kate always does her homework and with each interview gains(along with the viewers) more insight and understanding of what is at stake. The UK will always have a special place in the hearts of Americans.

Russia just raised interest rates again to 19% to try to rein in the rampant inflation, it isn't working. Russia has the third highest inflation in the developed world, behind only Turkey and Argentina, both of which are in the midst of an economic crisis.

Thanks to the both of you. Genuinely loyal to Ukraine. I wish they would comment on that horrendous Colnol Douglas Mcgregor who seems to be supporting Putin.
