So India, South Africa and Saudi Arabia didn't agree that Ukraine should have territorial integrity. I take it then that India, South Africa and Saudi Arabia will be happy to not have territorial integrity either. That they will be happy if the world does not lift a finger to help them when they suffer invasion.
Some of these countries are seriously failing at international diplomacy. India specifically needs to have the West as friends. Their military is in chaos thanks to Russia's failure to provide even basic maintenance parts for the weapons Russia have sold them, ever since they have had to focus purely on replacing their own military hardware losses in Ukraine. India is vulnerable and particularly wary of China. They are already in talks with France about replacing their Russian fighter jets with French ones. Sooner or later India will need to get off the fence because they have pretty much put all their eggs in one basket, militarily speaking, and now have reason to regret that decision. India are Russia's biggest arms customer and Russia have proved themselves an untrustworthy trade partner both in arms and in any other respect too and the sooner other countries realise this the better.
@@cantiaci Well said. Plus the fact that Russia has demonstrated, during its "adventure" in Ukraine, that much of the weaponry it has been selling around the world does not work as advertised. And with Russia's collapsing economy it is in no position to be a reliable supplier.
@@mrjerzheelhe did not say that. He said he did not accept Putin's preconditions, which is perfectly understandable. Please don't spread misinformation.
Those who call for "dialogue" and "compromise" are amazingly naive. Why should Ukraine hand over ANY of its sovereign territory to an aggressive bully just because he demands it? Would India, Saudi Arabia, and Africa hand over THEIR country if THEIR brutal neighbor demanded it??
You have been overly picky aggressive towards Russians, the very people who graciously gifted you many things. When you don't appreciate what you have, you lose it
This Times reporter accuses the Ukraine representative of basically wasting time and asks what's the point of attending a peace summit consisting of over 90 countries if Russia isn't there ?! Does she really not see the importance of that consolidated view ? Then make an issue because about 8 countries ( mostly dictatorships ) didn't sign on the final draft ? But she had nothing to say about the garbage that Putin vomited up the day before ?!
The conference was a farce. It would only have made sense if Russia was on the verge of defeat. The USA sent Kamala Harris, that's how seriously they take it. Jake Sullivan was there too but that's probably because it was his idea in the first place.
The Nazis party wasn't included in the meetings during the second world war so why would you have Russia at these meetings? These meetings are a way to make sure everyone knows what has to happen to bring negotiations. Slava Ukraini
poo-tin does not need to be there,he's listening to every speaker no doubt.all he wants is "do what I say and want..orelse..i will carry on ..." and will anyway in time..

But its OK to overtake a government as in the 2014 maidan, and also fund the genocide of ethnic Russians living in Ukraine is it ?? You have no idea of what you are talking about. This conflict started 20 years or more ago.
@Withnail1969 Why not? There are plenty of examples in history where aggressors are forced to give up their war of conquest. Are you actually that ignorant?
The West is ashamed of it's colonial period, is making amends for it while Russia is proud of it and is repeating it on a even more brutal way, the people of India, as relatively recent victims of violent colonialism supporting on large numbers the slaughter of Ukanians is beyond discusting.
The South African Cleptocrasy did the rest of South Africa no favours here either. I, and many of my fellow countrymen are so ashamed. In the 60s to 90s we had to be ashamed of Apartheid, now this! Slava Ukraini!!
I talk to plenty of South Africans and don’t stereo type, I worry about the mess Africa is and how Russia and China are infiltrating and blaming the West for history.
Amazing that African nations keep supporting imperialistic Russia, but then the next moment they remeber to bash Europeans from something that happened ages ago and by some countries only...
Ukraine hold the MORAL HIGH GROUND?The man " leading" Ukraine is ILLEGITIMATE, his tenure ran out in May 2024.Wherd is the speaker of the house,THS REAL POWER IN UKRAINE.
India may regret its position. Most of the West is on India's side regarding China's border dispute. Perhaps if China pushes again, we might not be so enthusiastic to help with support?
Just another biting the hand that feeds them. Let them have Putler, and we keep the free world. I'm sure India likes China, North Korea and Iran as well. All morally bankrupt.
@@VladimirPutin-p3t we need them. They no longer need us but they are at least still willing to deal. Best get used to this kind of thing man. The west isnt the dominate power of this world any longer.

Well the obtuse interviewer's style is to open with a controversial and negative "devil's advocate " type question. Whether it is an accurate assessment of something is irrelevant because the idea is to get a comment such as this one. Last time this interviewer was using the same tactic with the video of Biden at the G7 where they misrepresented Biden's actions deliberately. Anyone who watched the full video with the wide shot not cropped could see what this interviewer was suggesting was disingenuous or worse. Times Radio at its worst.
As these countries don't believe in territory integrity I would be telling Pakistan they can have India and UAE / Qatar that they can have Saudi see how they cry then!

Why are American troops in Syria illegally? Why did the Americans invade Afghanistan,Libya and Iraq? Why are the US troops present in other countries without invitation? Or this doesn't apply to the west. Just 2 days ago , the foreign minister of Cuba told that they didn't like American warships being in Cuba because they were not invited. They are using their power to grap lands to steal oil and enforce their desires on others and this war didn't start by Russia. Be honest.
its not as simplistic as that. states also reserve the right to individual and collective self defence which may sometimes result in invading another country to destroy their armed forces.
Send a counterproposal 1. All Russians out of every square meter of Ukraine at the end of this week. 2. Immediate payment of two trillion dollars in reparations. 3. All Russian war criminals, Putin included, report to the Hague at the end of the week.

I don’t understand “lack of concrete support “ I Unsure if the times spent most of there time on the lobby but there is a significant investment that has come from the summit. Possibly the most positive actions since the war began. So unsure what journalism this is meant to be
I think I am disappointed in India's attitude perhaps more than any other country. They are an emerging great power, and I have always had great fondness for the Indian people. But if they are prepared to turn a blind eye to such a flagrant and brutal breach of the rule of international law as they appear to be doing here, than I think I (and many others?) will find my view of India changing. I will be very sad indeed about that. It is abundantly clear that the great majority of Ukrainians DO NOT WANT to live under Russian rule. This is not some plot by the West. The 'mission creep' is happening substantially because the ex USSR countries do not want to go back to what like was like back then.
Why are Ukrainians being grabbed off the streets and forced to fight if they are so enthusiastic about not being ruled by Russia? The BBC reported this yesterday.

One thing that you don't seem to understand is that Putin doesn't care about you at all. He will put you on the front line to die for nothing. He only started this war so that he can hold on to his riches, and his power. No one would have ever attacked Russia. If your country would have been peaceful, it would have also been prosperous... @@mrjerzheel Well I guess you have to fight until you achieve it. Do you honestly believe Russia is interested in a fair and reasonable negotiated peace? Just look at the ridiculous ceasefire offer. @@boota1979 Russia is not negotiating. They are making no compromise demands. But I agree it's not for other countries to make compromise on behalf of Ukraine.
so now we know where India, South Africa and Saudi Arabia stand, the rest of the civilized world will stand together to protect our own territorial integrity without them.
Bargain like a child, get a seat at the child’s table. “Give me absolutely everything I want, THEN we’ll discuss what concessions you will make in your surrender” isn’t how you get a seat at the adults’ table.
Russia has no say and is being ignored which is perfectly correct. The only option open to Ukraine is to defeat Putin and therefore this is the direction of travel currently. Europe must continue to assist Ukraine in every way possible to achieve this end.
When will you Russians take back your country and join the rest of the world and be peaceful and prosperous? Hmm? When? When will enough be enough for you?
Welllll not true. Putin and Xi both pooped their Louis Vittons pretty hard before the summit. So much so that Russia launched full one 24 hour disinformation campaigns trying to slander it up until it happened. He's scared for sure.

I don’t get how can anyone consider it unsuccessful let alone on the basis that Russia, who was not invited, being there (Germany was not invited to any of the WWII peace summits). The Western media always seems to be trying to figure out whatever just happened was another win for Russia.
The countries signing the document do not represent the majority of the world's population. Any fool could see that the "proposals" put forth by Zelensky are not realistic. The proposals put forth by Russia were a realistic starting point for negotiations. The Minsk agreements were the closest Ukraine was ever going to get to maintaining her 1991 territorial integrity. Every time Ukraine refuses to negotiate with Russia and instead continues to fight; the more territory Ukraine loses, and the less generous Russia's starting points!
This Times Radio commentator is not supportive of any pro-Western goals. She is this way on both Ukraine and Gaza. The Ukrainian Peace Plan had 91 countries support the discussions and 80 signed the final Accord. This is a great 1ST effort and has isolated Russia led by Putin. What Russia thinks under Putin’s leadership is increasingly irrelevant. As Putin’s Russian war machine starts to retreat, the terms of a final Peace Accord will be more defined. The terms will be increasingly harsh towards Russia.
Putin not taken serious by the West but China, India, Brazil, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Mexico who didn't sign with many other countries who didn't even attend, not bad!
So BRICS countries wouldn't even agree about the territorial integrity of Ukraine. We know how to treat these countries then, if they are ever invaded by a foreign power. Clearly, if you don't accept International law applying to another country, you yourself don't have a right to International law either. The whole world is watching, remember that.

Moderator: Mr. Putin, what are your conditions for a cease fire in Ukraine? Putin: Ukraine must withdraw from the provinces we annexed, must disarm and promise to never join NATO. Moderator: I think Ukraine has made it clear they will not accept this, but what would you consider a Russian victory in Ukraine? Putin: Ukraine withdrawing from the provinces Russia annexed, disarming themselves so they are easy pickings when we finish the job after a few years of rebuilding our military, and not joining an alliance that would stop us from annexing them. This was a waste of time. There will be peace when Ukraine pushes Russia out of Ukrainian territory, but if that doesn't happen and Russia loses 500,000 casualties (killed and wounded) every three years or so, I am fine with that as well.
Never in history, to give territory to the agressor lead to peace, only encorrage them to take even more. The only way to bring real peace to this conflict is to make all agressors go back to their country and to make free all Ukranian territory. And this is going to happen. The "allmighty" R will implode, as it happen before. Saddly, they distort the history and therefor they lack the ability to learn from their mistakes. Just a matter of time.

If you are winning, you pursue it until you arrive at total victory. You then dictate terms. Putin’s ’peace offer’ is a sign he is not winning, and likely at a tipping point of losing, either on the battlefield, domestically or both.
So, if China gets frisky in the Himalayas then India will not be looking for international support? OK. Fair enough. We have to understand that Russia not coming to the summit meeting does not factor in to gaining a peaceful solution in the slightest, because Russia is still not getting the message that has been echoing around the world since the invasion began at 5:55 AM, 24 February 2022. What am I driving at? We have to state over and over and loud and clear one thing that will resonate in the hearts and minds of not only Russian people, but in the Russian leader's military advisors and to himself. The message of course is that we in the west simply cannot now or ever condone a superior power overcoming and annexing territory from a lesser power. This is the only message we have to keep sending over to the Kremlin and it doesn't matter if it's by sky writing or pigeons or TV or the internet. The world as we know it will come apart into a thousand pieces and never get put back together again if a sovereign nation is allowed to be taken over by its more powerful neighbor as a prize. This is what we believe in and what we are and the sooner the Russian leadership realizes our back is against the wall and we cannot budge from this premise, peace will come to the earth and stay forever.
