An interesting fact: According to Wikipedia, Nancy Cartwright--who also voices Bart SImpson among many other caracters--did the voice of Putt-Putt in the game "Putt-Putt Enters the Race". I thought it was Veronica Taylor at first (She does the voice of Ash Ketchum in the first seasons of the English Pokémon dub), but it was someone else super famous!
What's funny is that... he's right about Outback Al not doing anything... if you come back to the spot you met him at in the beginning, you can see him doing stuff that doesn't involve what he was suppose to do while you go and save the animals and stuff. Yeah... Putt Putt should have his job.
So a kid who's visiting the Zoo for the first time in his life is smarter than the guy who took care of the place during years? Nice! Putt putt is a hero :D
I feel like Putt Putt is on the verge of mentally snapping since nothing ever seems to phase him and he’s always being blindly optimistic no matter what bad things happen to him, which would explain why he’s always shaking
I believe putt putt is actually an adult, but he's just a midget. As a child, many of the cars would bully him and push him around. That left him with a constant desire to be wanted. So whenever anyone asks him to help, he's happy to oblige, because he just wants them to like him. Since he was also a midget, he was easily overlooked by others as well. That's also why he was desperate to do things to get attention like joining the parade, or competing in a race.
I remember when I was a little kid, my classmates and I were stuck playing that zoo game over and over again even though we didn't want to. But I do have to admit, the only thing we liked about it was that song plants sang in the beginning ( it's even better when you hear the whole thing).
7:12- "It was a bright summer day when two young car lovers went for a picnic on a mountain or something. The lady car which I guess is this one was pregnant and stuff- She told her husband 'You're stupid I never liked you and I never wanted to go on your stupid picnic you're dumb'. Later she gave birth to their son Putt-Putt but he reminded her of her dead husband and all the guilt she had because she had said those things and then he died so she threw him into the garbage- something, something- and now he lives in car town blissfully ignorant of his tragic past."
I can't believe that someone actually LPed Putt Putt. I mean that's what I grew up on and it seems totally ridiculous to LP yet it's so awesome at the same time!
I don't know how you managed to make a round of applause funny, but you really accomplished something in this one xD I'd say this particular video hits the nail on the head when it comes to "classic PBG content". Not that you've changed much or gotten less funny over the years.
The nostalgia with these old Putt Putt vids is STRONG in particular. Used to watch these and the Zelda CDI videos so much. Early 2010s gamer sphere RU-vid (normal boots era?) was. God it was something. These definitely played a part in why I'm like this now
Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, Freddi Fish, and Spy Fox. All made by the same people, the best games I ever played from preschool to 3rd grade. And guess what, I found *ALL* of them on Steam!
I loved Saves the Zoo as a kid! I remember how awesome it was to read the credits at the very end and find out that the baby animals were all voiced by kids like me! :)
Oh my goodness, my six-year-old self is crying out in joy! Putt Putt Saves the Zoo was probably my third favourite game as a child, & I played it way too much in my library's computer lab.
I now annoy the crap out of my parents with me being my sarcastic self saying Geh-RATE all the time. Mom, "I cant afford that home frock." Me, "Geh-RATE"

I loved the humongous entertainment games as a kid this put out game in particular. And that FRIGGIN topiary creatures song invades my brain ANY time I see a topiary creature

What is the point in censoring a middle finger? I never got that, its not like boobs or a penis. Everyone has fingers so little kids will still know you held up your middle finger, only now they will question what that was about. "Well you see Billy, holding up your middle finger is bad, and if you do God will punish you by bluring it, making it burn like fire, and eventually making it fall off so you can neevr play video games again"
