That’s right! We’re kicking off two videos a week now! Keep that notification bell on and make sure you’re subscribed! We’ve got twice the action coming to you now. 😊 Every Saturday and Wednesday at 9am EST.
That cliffhanger at the end hits even harder when it happened in person. That test firing was done late at night and then we retired for the night. Thankfully we worked on it refreshed the next morning :)
I’d like to think anyone who gets their hands dirty has experienced one of those. That or the fluid transfer pump blonde moment. So you ARE human. Also what great running show doesn’t leave on a cliffhanger? Tune in next week to find out!
Hey Marc, I just discovered your channel and website! Id heard murmurs on the MR2 boards for a while about 2AR swaps and now I know where that information is coming from! My question is this: do you have in depth guides or videos up that go over the AW11 swap you did for lemons? I have an 87 AW11 and am researching affordable swap options. I've looked through your website and channel but couldnt find anything, perhaps I missed the video? Thanks for the content, Its very interesting and insightful!
Mark's demeanour and very thoughtful, deliberate way of explaining complicated concepts reminds me a lot of Haltech's Scotty (AKA Tuning Fork). When he was talking about the Haltech ECU, it was a little uncanny! I now need to see a MCM / G&G collab!
I was thinking the same when I heard him, I had to do a Tuning Fork search to remind myself of his features and accent. I was gonna post "Either Mark sounds like Tuning Fork or Tuning Fork sounds like Mark.. they both speak Haltech."
Loving this build. As an old school Toyota fan that migrated to a Honda fan, mostly because of wanting some vtec power in my life. It is great to see that toyota had a competitor to the k series all along. We just didn’t know it. This build has me looking for a 2ar now. I just have to see about converting it to rwd to put it in my Ae86.
I recently found out about you guys through your FD road trip series. Fell in love with your guys' videos. Amazing production and quality. I binged all of your road trip series within two days. Keep it up Ben and Ben! New favorite RU-vid channel.
It’s a poor man’s Lotus! This is an awesome build guys, thanks for collaborating on this project. All of this is fairly attainable for the working car enthusiast, love it! So, idea for a name…. Toyota that drives like a Lotus - Lōta.
This is going to be a great little track car!! Can’t wait to see how it comes out. I’ve been wanting the 2gr for my sw20. But with how the 2AR is progressing, that may be a better build. But the 2gr just sounds so great!!!
Thie channel quickly became my favorite car related channel on RU-vid, after discovering them a couple months ago. Everything about it is great, from the quality of the recording, audio, etc.
honestly not surprised the 2AR is a good platform for decent power- I daily a camry myself and the amount of abuse I've put that engine through without any complaints or fail really surprised me, I always figured you could make something with it if you tinkered around
Had the chance at work this week to swap a junkyard 2AR from a Venza into a Sienna. I did notice the factory oil separator integrated in the engine. But, holy cow, I was more amazed at the size of the intake ports. They remind me of the 3rd Gen Hemi in size and shape, for some reason. Had to swap parts from the old engine to the "new" one, but the swap was a success. A lot of work, I must say.
I loved your advertisement for Valvoline. Talk about trying to hide it. (: Great video and excited to see your level of performance with this car. I trust it’ll be pretty quick 😮. Has Gears and Gasoline ⚙️ & ⛽️ posted this often in the past?
Just a pro tip from a fellow car small sports tuner, those motorcycle and ATV agm batteries are good for 2-3 years before you need to charge them on a regular basis (weekly if you daily drive and monthly if you just go to tracks). It got annoying for me and I went to a 51R AGM battery. A bit heavier, but there are other ways to shed weight that don't annoy you all the time.
Watching Mark put together this car reminds me of Anakin Skywalker working on his pod-racer! Mark is just a big kid who loves working on cars! I need Mark as my next door neighbor!
what a nice surprise on a Wednesday morning! Ben if you need someone to take care of the Turbo-K FD RX-7 feel free to bring it out to williamsburg so you don't have to neglect it while you enjoy your C7 Z06 priced STi. I'll give you a ride home.
this is the type of info i want for my Skoda Fabia,...to see from which VAG group things i can use to make my sleeper Skoda, from which model Skoda,VW, Seat etc i can use parts. nice video! :D
@@Slysdexia2 I've seen that one.. but I'm pretty interested in hearing how they think about it as soon as the almost dead 1zz is not obstructing the fun anymore
