you upload a drill years ago i like to do on new courses. close your eyes when you hit the ball and think was it long or short and see if you read the speed right.

I use 2 balls on the practice green. I underhand toss the first one a random distance away from me, then try and hit the ball with the second. I never use the actual holes, I use a golf ball to aim at. Aim small, miss small.

Don’t have a particular favourite - for me it’s about making the effort to find 30/60 minutes during the week to practice putting. That’s usually enough to have a better feel at the weekend . But like most people I tend to grumble that I don’t make enough putts, but it’s the part of the game I practice the least!

These are great!! Another one to add into the mess :)... I pace off my putts as it helps me to get a better idea of how much sauce I have to put on it. So I tend to start with the first drill Coach does as a warm up (hit 3 balls on each cardinal direction of a hole just to get tempo and feel), and then I'll start practicing putts from 5, 10, 15, and if long enough 20 paces. I pick a random direction away from a hole, and then go through my full routine of reading the putt and then executing it (3 balls from a location). I also know my normal walking pace is right about 2', these are 10', 20', 30', and 40' lengths. The combination of these two before going out from a round gives the feel for 6' and in, and then the longer stuff for the lagz... I need to try your drill Mark (the play 18 holes across the whole green) as that sounds excellent!!!

That last drill...absolute classic. I have a 1x8 strip of turf in the bedroom and use it quite often...with my own Putt Out too!

30 minutes using three balls working on distance, within a metre of each other. Then around the 18 holes on the putting green, holing out, if I three putt back to the first, stress level really rises if I get to the 14th hole. Spent two hours out their one day!

I love to play the practice green as a par 36. My course has 9 pin locations so I start at one and make my way around trying two putting them.

Like the tips guys - not sure about the 5th set up - putting pants! Me and my buddy practice on the putting green by having a match over 9 or 18 holes taking it in turns to select a hole and then best score wins - creates the pressure when out in the course but teaches you to react to different distances, breaks, pace again just like being out on the course - magic!

I do that exactly mark , I use one ball , lag putt across the green and putt, using one ball is more realistic as to what you have on the course , using three or 4 you can adapt to the line , you only get one chance on course , great stuff

If I am by my self I putt to every hole counting strokes. Then I repeat going the opposite direction, same pattern. Helps with the monotony.

Hahaha! I miss this random banter from the new course vlogs, yes they're quicker snappier but when you play 3 holes over 20-30 minutes, you get more muppet nonsense which is thoroughly entertaining!
