Nice contraption at the 3:30 mark. I've figured out that the holes in a pair of crocs work great for that. Put a pencil through the spool of line and put each end of the pencil in a hole in each croc. Works pretty well believe it or not 😂
Not sure if anyone else does this but I soak my mono in some warm to hot water for like 10 minutes then dry it off as best as I can then I spool it and it takes the memory out to sink the line
I do this for spinning reels. I put a pot of water on the stove and throw the spool in and turn burner on low and keep in very warm water for an hour or two before putting on reel.
Mr. Melhorn, appreciate the videos, but have a question for you. Is there a benefit of using the uniknot over a bloodknot? Just seems like the tag ends are opposite of each other with each knot
