Normally I would agree with you on this one, especially if its just a single stock RC car. The problem is, if I list a price I then get 200+ emails, "Would you take £100 less for X?" I would rather get ten emails from people asking questions, quoting sold prices and asking what option parts are fitted as these are people who have put the effort in and are genuinely looking.
@RCKickschannel Good answer, I know how time consuming it can be dealing with the genuine enquiries, ever mind the dreamers. I would have been interested, but when I looked closely I realised I would be crucified with vat (Brexit 🙄)and duty not to mention shipping as I live in Cork in Ireland. Best of luck with the sales anyway and thanks for going to the trouble of replying. Cheers, Barry
@@barrysmith8870 100% Brexit did a total number on shipping costs. I could probably deliver it personally for the same as shipping and import fee’s for you now.
@1701_FyldeFlyer sorry but your wrong, it depends on value. I sold some sim racing gear for around £600 last year to a guy in the UK, he got hammered with about £150 UK VAT and duty. Felt bad for him so gave him a £100 back to help him out as he was a youngsters.
Can see why you have so many. I'm only on my second build and am already planning the third in less than a month. You must have a very understanding missus.
The problem with having a lot of rcs is that it can be overwhelming keeping up the maintenance and actually having time to use all of them. It's not a terrible problem as problems go, but when there's 30 + cars there's a lot to keep busy with.
I really don't get why people keep saying df03 is weak/fragile. I have 3 of then, 2 brushless, one on 3s crazy brushless system, the only parts i remember breaking was some aftermarket alloy bits i added.
Good luck. I find it's best to be a realist and recognise you tend to get back less than half what you spent unless it's a rare kit with a couple of collectors interested.
I just look at current sold listings and then take a bit off for the eBay fee. That gives you a good starting point. Obviously this differs when it comes to modified cars. It’s also harder as most of my modified cars are mint shelf queens so saying half makes no sense when you have something like a TRX4M as an example. That’s £150 new and £200 in upgrades and then to sell it for £130 is nuts. If this kind of thing doesn’t sell for say £290, taking the new upgrade parts off and selling them separately and then selling the car for say £125 makes way more sense. The funny thing is I will sell the car for £125 and then £70 in upgrade parts separately that will end up back on the same car lol. We have some strange things in RC. A clear body set will sell for £45 but a fully high level painted one will sell for £70. It could have taken £25 in Tamiya paint and someone two days to paint it up and fit all the decals. Obviously quality of work counts but still.
I know it's very painful my friend to get rid of such beauties, I've been there before. There's a saying that goes: "all good things must come to an end" my philosophy is, enjoy them while you're alive. Because when we die, we won't be taking anything with us.
Gav I feel your pain! My new Traxxas Slash (builders kit) arrived today and my wife told me I cant have anymore cars - and I've got to sell some as they are 'taking over the house'!
I’ve had that ,with rc cars and guitars .she lives with my son and I live on my own, still with all my guitars amps and rc. Cars and peace and quiet ❤❤
Just wondering what kit would you reccommend me buying. Im looking for something that is a challenge to build and fun to drive, but I dont compete ir race or anything like that.
Thanks for reply, I'm thinking 4 or 2 wheel drive off roader, I like the look of the Tamiya blockhead you reviewed, but will probably do tarmac on roaders too, love the Porker 917k. Actually, I just love cars so all cars are cool 😅. Used to build the early Tamiya kits and Mardaves etc, but that was like 45 years ago 🥶, shheesh, cats out of the bag, 😅😅😅
@@RCKickschannel can I have the list.. because you say more was for sale please. And can we have a chat outside the comments.. Thank you for the fast reply!
I’m sure you’re too polite to go into the gory details, but I do wonder what kinds of nonsense a RU-vidr has to put up with when they sell things like this. When I sell anything to the general public the amount of flaky time-wasters that come out of the woodwork is staggering.
Amen! Some of the comments on here are really stupid. If you enjoy the channel, you like Gavin. Why treat him crappy??? It's a cool opportunity to get one of his cars. 8:33
@RCKickschannel Hi Gavin. Yes, you are right. Just have to wait untill father Christmas comes. Hopefully shipping wouldn't be too expensive. We love your channel. Keep up.
A customization is 2 your eyez only whenever you customize something it makes it less unless it's an upgrade that makes the car stronger sell me your alpha Romeo I would say the arrma infraction definitely a one you have to sell who wants a on-road car whenever you can have a buggy did you can run on road or off road I'm not being a hater Gavin but most of those cars are Chinese knockoffs not saying they're any good or not bad it's just not a name brand car The only name Brand ones you have that you're selling are the ones you would like to put together yourself but since the celebrity put it together it's kind of like yeah I'll take it like for me I'm infatuated
