So in this episode we will show how we like to winterize our gardens.
Our main styles are
1. Let it be
2. Clear and cover
3. Chop and drop
4. Cover cropping
In doing this we help to support the natural rhythms of the land. We sequester carbon, cut down on erosion, pull up important minerals and nutrients, have less weeding, and keep our wildlife cozy and fed in the winter months. It’s a key building block for how we intend to support and grow our homestead in harmony with the environment. It’s a lot of trial and error. Figuring out what works where and why. In every “failure” there’s a lesson. In every lesson there’s a gift. If we take the time to listen and observe, we can learn so much!
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Stay warm, we’ll see you again soon.
