Old video.....But if you're still around, did this build end up working pretty well? I am going to build one and like this design. Just wondering if there's anything you would have done differently if starting again?

Your cylinders will work at different speeds hooked up in series like that. Only way to have them synchronized if you’re dead set on running them in series is to have one cylinder slightly bigger than the other. There is a formula to figure out exactly how much bigger. For your purposes it’s probably fine, just letting you know. The alternative is actually a lot simpler than the alternative you came up with. Just tee both lines and run 2 short hoses to each cylinder. Just make sure the hoses are the same length. Technically the arms should still be mechanically attached to one another but when you’re picking up hay it can be handy to have them independent. That way if you don’t center the bale perfectly, one arm will hit the bale then just wait till the other one does and there is equal pressure then they will both compress. Again, I’m sure it doesn’t bother you the way it is, just food for thought
