Thank you so much man !! Hell yeah you gotta give saddle stitching a try. I was a little intimidated at first but it’s not bad and I don’t have all the right tools for leather working, but I’m ok with what I have, it’s enough to make the stuff I make 🤙… to be honest this is my second time stitching, the first time I did it was for that giveaway council tool Hudson Bay I did a few months ago. When I make a sheath for myself it’s super basic. I’ve never made one this nice for myself, but it’s a nice touch when it’s a gift. Thank you so much again man !!

Ever notice that the bevel on the left side of an axe or hatchet from a box or hardware store is usually convex whereas the right side bevel is a flat grind? Lower quality grade axes that require remedial shaping. Yet, the bevels on the Swedish and German axes are symmetrical. Sharpen and go. Maybe, one of the reasons for the price differential. CREEPY BASEMENT. Love it! Joey, not Creepy! Norm.

What glue do you use for your leather work? Ive been trying different types cause it glue... lol

Hey man thanks for watching !! So before I sew the leather I bond the welt in between the outer pieces with Gorilla glue contact adhesive. It works well. It’s a bit thick so a little goes a long way. It comes in an aluminum tube. The best way to use it is put it on both side of the material let it tac up then put both pieces together and clamp it down of you can you don’t have to go crazy but just so it doesn’t separate. Come back when it’s dry and then you’re good to punch holes and sew !! 🤙 I hope this helps !!

@@Running-with-skizers thank you so much man I really appreciate that, I’m happy to help !! I hear ya man I’m not a pro either, I’m still learning all the time. I’m really happy I found axes and restoring them, it’s a lot of fun and I love doing it. I didn’t even use an axe till I was almost 30 my first video was pretty much my 2nd time using an axe only 2 years ago so I still have a lot to learn. I’m going to go sub to your channel and see what you got going on 🤙. Heck yeah man that’s awesome you’re in Pennsylvania as well ?

@940joey2 yes sir south west. I just built a custom axe I dubbed a 330 it's a 3 lb head on a 30 inch handle its a wedge banger and general purpose splitter/chopper. I'm not sure it was you or sombody else on RU-vid that stated that could be the perfect combination you don't have to watch but it's on my channel it's called custom 330 final thoughts

Me as well man I was in my 30s if it wasn't for me taking a break from trucking and trying my hand at felling I would have never known how contagious this hobby is. Keeping the the heritage alive is what it's about keep the vids coming man always enjoy them
