Usually if the bottom strand is running through weeds and grass it'll ground it out or diminish your power all together

I do the same in NZ on my high country station. I run a mob of 2500 merino cross But at the end of autumn we muster the mob down to our flats and break feed them through winter. What I do is break feed cattle 1st to get 1st grazing out and then when new shoots of grass is through I put my sheep on and they follow a few breaks back behind till spring here and I can put the back up on mountains. I've done this for years now and the sheep always hold good weight through winter I find by doing this method it works for us but not all sheep farmers

Mom n Dad y'all are just great parents. Clarance/Clancy whichever you Sir prefer are growing up to be a fabulous young gentleman . With the great work ethic it takes to be a great American ,red blooded difference in our world . You can also run your sheep behind your cows in the same place. I also think with just a hand full of chickens would still be beneficial to run behind the animals just because of the amount of fly larvae they will eat.

FYI, When stringing the 4 wires, if you leave one post loose and walk with it, it'll keep wires arranged and easier to attach wires to other posts. Thanks for the video.

I recall being that age, and dad insisting that I be the "guinea pig", every single time that he decided to add a hot wire alongside a barb wire fence. And generally, the hot wire was powered by 120v. The only times that I can recall the wire being powered by a 12v battery, was when my folks bought a new piece of property, and we set up the hot wire so that we could replace/rebuild the existing barb wire fence.

I have had them kill the grass if was touching the grass on the bottom line

Interesting. We (my family) never had an electric fence kill the grass if it was touching a line.. even when powered by 120v. Whenever there was grass (or weeds) touching a line, it always just created a short and the hot wire wouldn't work until we cleared the vegetation away from it.🤔

They say dogs..you should only give 'em a bath twice a year.? Their natural coat.? When I pull the line,in the flatbottom boat,on the POND, our Trout line, my KIRADog thinks it's funny, to give me a bath. I carry a 15minroad flare , I wave it, she see it & doesn't rock our boat..she has seen what happened when I lit my Zippo & threw one that looked smelled just like it in the water🤗😆😳🤭😁Sometimes a little Trinitrotoluene wax,is for the damn Water Moccasins, they wiggle up the trees for bird eggs, drop in the boat,from the branches. 😲🥴Gigg 'em quick,skin em, before they sink & a "good COUNTRY GIRL" makes SUPPER & hat bands to trade at the Swap Meet after Sunday Service. Gotta get that "Holy Water". Doesn't always get delivered in an ORANGE CAR CHALLENGER. NO, it's sadly in an electric Pious, pussy blue. But not on cloudy days...can't be charged with a Federal Crime, moonshining.,car can't be charged with ANYTHING either!?
