Guys, this might be Alt Voice Sig. There's one little blip right before Sig is selected, and if you paid close attention, the window for him didn't change.
Timestamps 'cause the visuals aren't the clearest 0:15 - Alt Voice Sig VS Ess (I remember the contributor specifically saying they picked the alt Sig voice to see if he sounded like a pokemon or not). This confirms that, in the English dub, the jokes of the alternate voices are different from the original. 4:18 Draco Centaros vs Risukuma 6:29 Satan/Dark Prince being selected 6:34 Amitie vs Amitie 8:06 Ess vs Ecolo. Ecolo seems to be voiced by a woman in the English version. 9:11 Rulue vs witch
Yeah, the spells are a huge part of the Puyo Puyo, and by extension, Madou Monogatari, franchises. Removing them pretty much removes a big part of the franchise.
Admittedly, it's a bit jarring, but considering the difficulties surrounding translating some of these things and how English doesn't work like Japanese, this is far better than Fever.
yassineya I didn't change my mind. All I said is that it's jarring because I'm not used to it. Besides, this is only a sample of what the game has to offer. One thing I like is Sata-uh...Dark Prince's selection. I just can't place some of these voices (including his).
SpiderStaryu Right?! Jessie is a fighting queen! Rupee is a fighting queen! Both sassy! Both lady-like! Honestly, Jessie's voice sounds like the English version of Rulue. xD
The only voice I could recognize was Christine Marie Cabanos as Amitie. Honestly, I kinda thought Cherami Leigh would have been a much better voice for Amitie, while Christine could have done another character like Rider, but I'm sure Christine will be fine as Amitie.
