It's interesting with Trefl. It's a Polish brand and here in Poland most of the people from different puzzle groups hate it. I'm not in this "hate Trefl team" but I see the reasons why a lot of people would never choose it: the pieces are not round but "squarish" and tend to miss fit. Try Enjoy puzzle. In my opinin this is the best brand ever! I love doing art and with this puzzle even some extremely difficult paintings (like for example "Almond tree" by Van Gogh) is doable and enjoyable 😀 I highly recommend it! I had another comment stating the same thing 😅 But there is a difference in a quality, depending on where the puzzles are produced. I have to remember to mention that in the next year's brand review video, as I don't want to give false information. I have an Enjoy puzzle in my collection, and I'm really looking forward to trying it out! 🤩 And I think the one I have is gonna be quite difficult, so I'm happy to hear you say, that even the difficult paintings are enjoyable! 😁👌🏻 Thank you!! 🤗

Idk, if Schmidt Puzzle and Ravensburger is actually the same. The cardboard, the surface properties, the cut ... everything looks and feels very similar.
I never thought of that, but technically they could be using the same factory 😅 I'll have to try the cut pattern and see if it fits 🙈 I do agree that they are both great brands! 😁👌🏻

I also think they are the best quality brand. they would be perfect if they included a poster, and a few more images to my liking. I do not mind the puzzle dust I have a few methods to deal with that. I also like Dowdle, White Mountain, Cobble Hill, to name a few, they are available in the US.... Looking forward to another great year with the puzzling community..
Thank you! 🤗 Oh yes, there a big difference between the brands availability between the States and in Europe. I have some more US brands to try - one of the is White Mountain, but I ran out of time last year, so hopefully I'll get to them this year! 😅 I have just gotten a 5k Ravenburger puzzle for my birthday, and it has a poster!!! Probably so it's easier to see the detail, but still, maybe a step in the right direction 😊
Schmidt is just supreme. Chef's kiss. I always catch myself thinking about how satisfying the process of completing the puzzle is. Also for me Castorland is in the 'Trefl zone'. It's super cheap, and the quality is consistent. Very shiny though, and not my type of imagery, unfortunately. But still good for your wallet.
Oh I love Schmidt!! 🤩 It really is satisfying, isn't' it! And yes, I have heard of Castorland - and even got some a couple of weeks ago, so I'm really looking forward to trying it out! People keep advising me to use them, because of their size😊 I hope the shine won't bother me though! 😅
5:23 - Those random curvy pieces are VERY old-school! I remember them when solving Milton-Bradley puzzles in the early 1960s when I was a pre-schooler. I was quite a puzzler for my age; I outgrew those 'kiddie' puzzles quickly! Oops!

Happy birthday! We're almost sharing the birthday haha, I'm born on Dec 23rd :D I tried one Educa puzzle (Colorful Donuts) this year and...never again. It was a struggle, the puzzles kept locking in even thought they were not right. And it was impossible to move a section at once. I was so frustrated after finishing. I also tried to speed puzzle it which did not help :D And I do like Schmidt and Ravensburger quite a lot. I think I tried Trefl as well and it was nice. Great video as always. Happy holidays!

Happy belated birthday!!🎉🎉 Good list, but I am suprised that Ravensburger is put so high. The pieces are not really sticking together and there is a lot of puzzle dust.

@@janetteandherpuzzles Ah ok. It is still a good brand, but I would also have it at number 3. Jumbo would be my personal number 1 😉 I don't think I ever saw a Smidt puzzle here in the Netherlands, so I have to check it out and try it myself.

@@janetteandherpuzzles Update: I just ordered a Buffalo Games 1k, Ceaco 1k, a Clementoni 1k, and a Ravensburger 1.5k. Also looking for a deal on a Ravensburger Art Collection, they are more expensive so I guess they are better quality. I am in the U.S., I'm a midwesterner.

Your opinion of Springbok is exactly in line with my own. I won't be working another of their puzzles. Their cuts are simply bizarre. I didn't enjoy the puzzle I worked at all.
I'm glad to hear that! I know a lot of people love Springbok, so it was difficult to be honest 😅 Apparently, their old cut is better, but I haven't managed to get ahold of them yet, to try it out 🤷🏻♀️

Helped me track some of the brands that I've been looking to do. My To Be Puzzled stack keeps growing. I just started on an eeBoo today that will probably take me till Valentine's Day. @@janetteandherpuzzles I hope your eeBoo is a lot easier than the one I'm working on. It's very challenging and frustrating and rewarding when you actually have pieces that are right. There are a lot of false fits, be warned.
as a polishg person with a lot of trefl puzzles - they are trash. the only ones with good quality are expensive ones, cheap ones are absolutely tragic edit: maybe the ones they sent for export are better quality
Ok, fair enough! I did hear that the quality differs with brands, depending on where they were produced, and now that you mentioned it, I remembered it was Trefl. This is the comment that I got: 'Those manufactured in Poland have Trefl quality (the standard Trefl), because Trefl prints them. Those produced in France are better, different cut, thick pieces, semi-matte finish; decent, I'd say. And the one made in Turkey is the best. So, you always need to check it on the box.' I will try to remember that for next years brand review video, as I really don't wanna false advertise the brand, but the puzzles I get from Trefl are very enjoyable for me 🙈
