Didn't get to see either band on TV. Just watched the video and wow! The sound and musicianship were incredible! We love our Aggie Band but its completely different. Your fans are blessed to have that to look forward to halftime of every home game.
Thanks, @David Redding. That was so very nice of you to comment. I am proud graduate of PVAMU twice over (B.S. and M.S.). My son is a senior at TAMU but was raised attending PVAMU games and homecomings. He articulates your sentiments exactly to all of his friends at TAMU. He stresses that both bands are very different and each have their strengths. He does enjoy PVAMU band the most because it does not fail to entertain during halftime.
Good show PV nice representation of the HBCU band world....no one leaves halftime when a HBCU band hits the field ;) The Box (drumline) feature would have been the icing on the cake.
I was a student Prairie View A&M University from1994 until 1995. I Love the Marching Storm. I had chance to go in the practice room where the Marching Storm held practice.
well PVAMU is the 1st institution for blacks, second institution of Higher learning in the State of Texas started in 1876 five years after TAMU. Written in the State constitution during the reconstruction era after the civil war!!
IamJesusWalks no but we do promote it saying that we are accepting donations to reach the amount money needed to travel to new york and to pay for housing for all the students and staff and to pay for our food while we are there. you probably cant hear it in this video but in other halftime shows where we did the "Macys" show our announcer spoke about it or you can find it on the pvamu website
