It’s a good thing the rate is as slow as it is here. That two belt puller isn’t a good peace of equipment for the circumference of the pipe . U gotta run the rate slow so it will set up good before it reaches that puller. Pipe this small? If ur gonna put out a quantity to meet the demand of ur customers? Ya really gotta speed up the process. Tire pullers are what’s needed for an increased rate . Two most impoetabt things when u buy a stick of pipe. 1 , it needs to fit together snug an firm. This means it needs a true round the circumference. An 2? If ur buying a ten foot stick? It better be ten foot. The wall thickness has specifications an all to often, producers of plastic pipe is worried about their weights of the pipe. It’s supposed to weigh a certain weight per foot . An so they want the specs on the minimum thickness. But here’s the problem. The percentage of maternal that runs through the extruder fluctuates . As it processes from powder to a molten plastic form. It sorta runs through the extruder like a river of water would flow in a stream. The level of material in the extruder dictates the thickness of the pipe it produces. So if ur running along on the minimum spec? An the load on that extruder falls down momentarily as it fluctuates? U get what’s known as linear variation. As a result I could b buying a peace of pipe here an there that’s not as thick as it’s required to be as an end product. That’s why it’s critical that the formulation of the material going into the extruder is a constant blend. An that isn’t always the case with a pipe producing company. I guess what I’m trying to say is? When u see a commercial on TV for a fast food restaurant the burger they show u on the screen is usually a lot nicer than the one I buy at the location where they are cooked . Quality, is a big factor in any business. Including a pvc pipe production plant.
