@@lazynoob7977 if you see in the bottom left of the screen, you see wanted in red text. That means they have a bounty that they need to pay to the police aka wanted means they are pirate
FDLs hulls are paper even with reactive heavy duty armour. The max you can get if you wanna run prismos is around 2k hull. Which isnt up to the war of attrition, and if you want SCBs, then you migjt as well dip when those shields drop, because you're eating a rebuy pretty soon.
i played once open. for 45min till a ganker shot me down with my first sidewinder. after that i only payed in PvE till I got my Corvette with maxed out. Then I went to open game and now I'm hunting these guys. there is nothing I hate more... god damn gankers.
@@Simone_songwriter Why? Why would you want to do that? What about those that get the game for the sole purpose of exploring our Galaxy? Sure there is Space Engine. But so too does ED have a very accurate; "replica" of our Galaxy. What if they paid for ED before they knew of SE? So wrong to want to force someone's play style. Exploration is also part of ED's gameplay too. I'm also pretty positive that FDev knew that making this game very accurate, will cause the explorers at heart to want to do just that, and only that; so they give us options: OPEN, PRIVATE GROUP, and SOLO. I didn't mention the 3rd mode because you don't use your ships from what I can tell, and it seems to not fit the narrative of the rest of the game. What if they shut down open instead? This will cause those that want pvp to have to private group with other pvpers. Hey! Maybe that would be a better option,... to shutdown open play instead. See, Cans of worms can be "opened" when saying/writing things like this is brought up. As always it is, imo. GOD First!!! GOD Bless!!! Love All!!!
Love seeing you take out the Deciat gankers! Lost 3 ships last night the moment I lost mass lock. Had to switch to solo which I hate! Wish they would update the station defenses to go after these ass hats.
I love this. I lost my first Python (mining rig) within about 5 minutes because of Gankers. Not enough skill and certainly didn't have the hardware, and even though I could get a direct replacement, it was just "Open isn't for me" and I moved to PVE and haven't moved back, which I'm gutted by, as an open world was part of what I wanted from Dangerous
I got ganked with a hold of about 100M LTD one of the best moments in ED for me so far, made the game world more believable and the whole easyness of getting rich from mining more texture. Instead of leaving open where I definately want to play, I adapted. Now my mining python is equipped to escape ganks. Its not optimised for pure mining, but if you accept that its part of mining that someone might want to steall 100ms of cargo of you, then it is optimised.
It’s not hard to high-wake on those guys. Open is fun, and you can make friends doing the same thing as you. If you leave Open you’re letting them win.
@@austineberhart8535When they have fsd interrupt rocket, you can't escape, those who claim the opposite are not talking from recent experience. The classical submit and high wake is not working anymore against for example mamba with frags and a grom.
You don’t belong in open if you can’t afford a rebuy or “hate” players who bring another dimension to the game. Open PvP is end game stuff stay in private until your ready to play with the big kids.
@@adasterdezaster2865 lol how arrogant... Pvp in open is end game stuff... Yeah ganking noobs, every idiot can upgrade his ship and kill noobs... end game lol
Last time I checked PvP was still part of Elite Dangerous game play. If you don’t want to PvP don’t play in open. I’m not being snarky I’m just saying there are other modes of the game that you can use. But if you do play in open don’t cry if you get smoked.
@@Lineon2801 Phasing Sequence - an experimental effect some engineers can put on pulse lasers, beam lasers and plasma accelerators. It makes some of the laser damage bleed through the shields and hit the armour/hull.
When I got in my first vulture and got destroyed by a troll when I left the station. At first I thought it was Hostile AI, since it never happened again when I switched to solo, I realized they were trolls
I'm fairly new to combat in this game, I have some questions: - At 6:43, how is the Anaconda targetting the enemy modules without accessing the nav panel? - How is the enemy able to take so much damage? The shots are hitting but I don't think their shields collapsed once. - How is the Anaconda managing to damage the enemy hull without taking down the shields first?
Hi. You can map keys to cycle through subtargets in controls. 2, he was flying an engineered ship. 3, phasing sequence lasers can do about 8% of damage through shields
1) Cycle through subtargets 2) FDLs have very strong shields but weak hulls, it is whats known as Shield Tank (Heavily engineered) 3)Phasing Lasers (engineered)
@Vlodec A skilled FDL pilot should wreck a conda. There's a reason the FDL is THE PvP ship. The conda routed him without even having SCBs for goodness sake.
@Vlodec Yep, absolutely. The FDL has the time on target that the conda just can't match. It has great shields, huge DPS and the key is its maneuverability. With the right engineering the FDL can be made to perma-boost and when combined with flight assist off, it becomes an incredibly agile ship that can have pretty much 100% time on target.
Winner winner -- how long had you been playing the game at the time of this vid? I've been working on my pip management, but I still find myself hitting capacitor limits far more often than I'd like, losing precious opportunities to put out damage. I've only got 60-ish hours of playtime under my belt, and I know that's still _early_ infancy when it comes to this game's learning curve, but I'd still like to learn as much as possible from capable players _before_ I end up in situations like this one so that even if I lose, I'm better prepared to face them moving forward. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I have another loadout related question. If I were to build a cobra with cytoscramblers would it work better to have small corrosive MC's and medium Cytoscramblers or medium MC's and small Cytoscramblers? And which effect would you recommend for the Cytoscramblers? I was thinking about using either inertial impact or thermal load paired with the use of silent running.
McKenzie Zobrist cutis only come in small so two small cytos and two MC multis (one autoloader and one corrosive). Inertial impact impact is a great choice, i tend to like phasing as well.
Hi, I am curious. I've seen you using a sidewinder before. With the right engineering and load out can it be viable against skilled pvp'ers? My squad is having a tournament mostly to train everyone for pvp and I wanted to troll them by entering in a sidewinder but I have never really fought in one before.
McKenzie Zobrist hello, yes the Sidewinder can be deadly. However, if you are putting it up against meta PvP builds with thousands of mj shields/scbs, you will likely run out of ammo before doing anything. Mines used to be good shield busters but they are bugged atm. If you want to use a sidey I recommend a hull tank, engine focused PD and OC enforcers.
@@cmdrthreeofnine1006 thank you. Engine focused over fast recharge makes more sense for a hull tank, I hadn't thought of that. Do you use biweaves? And besides the enforcers what would be a good shield buster for someone who hasn't unlocked all the power play modules?
McKenzie Zobrist I wouldn’t recommend shields on the sideys, the 1A Pd will struggle and even prismatics will be so weak they will disappear instantly. As for the weapon, if you have access, one rapid fire cryposcambler. Crypos have higher dps than huge multi cannons. One corrosive OC multi, combining corrosive with the cryptos will make them do hull damage as well.
Thats usually the norm for pvp now. It''s all jousting with shield tanks for half an hour now until one of both can't resist the call of nature anymore.

Gankers is part of the reason why i play in open. Otherwise its all to boring and grindy. I do trade mostly and some action from time to time is most welcomed. I, overtime, realised that i like playing as an armed trader much much more than just a normal trader.
just curious do you have discord? i need to have an opinion from you for my corvette if its good enough to beat a ganker or at least run away since it has so much shield
@@cmdrthreeofnine1006 can't you also use them fixed by un-targetting the enemy for situations where they drop a chaff? Your ship definitely looks maneuverable enough to manage during chaff
@@cmdrthreeofnine1006 Yeah I always thought that. I've gone for gimbals on my battleconda too. Why so many Pulse Lasers though? It looks cool but I never found them working well for destroying a hull personally
Lol what a noob. Could not take down a conda with turreted weapons flying an engineered FDL. Things have changed so much with this game. It's very rare to find Competent CMDR in an FDL back in the day prior to horizon/engineers when the only good source of credits was bounty hunting. Thus, when you see a CMDR with an A-Rated FDL, you can almost be certain that they are at least Dangerous.
They really need to fix the crime and punishment. The new advanced security doesn't fix it. because it's clearly the gankers don't give a shit. Get rid of the security response time bs and make there be an actual punishment for being a dick. like a galaxy wide bounty that you cant shake for a certain number of days. and even if you're out in the black the bounty hunters and the advanced security can still kill you. Then, you make it so they can't rebuy their ship after they get killed by this security
You have 'Crimes against me' turned on.... had helped from an NPC (not the fighter)... Not a true PvP fight. Without the cop helping you, and the FDL being a bit better, you'd have been toasted....
I never ever play open world after my Eagle was attacked and destroyed in seconds. I didn't even see the attacker, I was dead within seconds of being interdicted. This was minutes away from ending a 4hr run to the first engineer base and back. Soul destroying so ever since it's only solo play for me.
It wasn’t a gank because you were attacked by one ship only. Unless you had a bounty or are opposing faction it is rather crass and ill mannered to attack like that. I suspect the cmdr was surprised to find a big ship cmdr who knows how to fight with his boat.
Philip Harris-Smith technically not according to the official definition but the term ganking also gets thrown around to mean when someone attacks another they (perceive) to greatly outclass.
CMDR THREEOFNINE yes you have a point though I would suggest that attacking a player perceived as weaker or an easy victim is more in the way of griefing. BTW the manner in which you handled your boat has made me think again about the Anaconda.
OMG! a competent FDL gets owned by an master or deadly anaconda. The guy in the FDL isn't a bad combat pilot in any way, FDL is a very hard ship to fly. So why not all of you fly an FDL And see how well you fly it for the first time
You are going steep. For such fast vehicles, you should always use fixed type laser and reverse. He should choose to come upright to you. Stop hitting the ''Thrust'' key. You just have to do Ao. You should only use the tab key during the turn difficulty phase. If that person had struck me, his shield would have been deactivated before my shield was half-leveled. I've had this in the past with an FDL driver, it said to me and he is run = '' You're going backwards, stop playing like this '' ... FsD detected ..... '' pow '' .... Learn to use fixed laser...
Boring game, boring combat. ED will NEVER give you the tools for a "complete" space sim. This really is generic. The game looks just like it did in the 2014 Alpha I played. Same amount of content as well. #Lackluster
OriginalGamerOnline after the fiasco with the new ax multi cannon it’s clear half the developers are way out of touch. Frontier needs to fire about half of them.
