I've been PvPing since Alpha and decided to make a ship combat guide to help you be more comfortable versus enemy ships! Watch LIVE: / blurbs Discord: / discord Twitter: / blurbstv Instagram: / blurbsttv
Hold Q while you're on the cannon, and a radial menu pops up allowing you to pick normal cannonballs or any of the cursed cannonballs you're carrying on you.
2:22 last week me and a friend went duo sloop and encountered a galleon; we landed a few shot really low so they were busy while we were punching holes through their mid deck and shortly afterwards sinking them with a ballast ball. It was insane how fast it went down.
I dont know what you are trying to say for a generalization, but it seems uneducated. Almost every NAL player would be considered "sweaty" and they have assigned roles like bilge, helm, boarder, cannon 1 and 2, and more. It seems like you just want to insult tdmers you have encountered in arena, who choose not to naval (at least while tdming)
@@fourcatz918 what are you talking about... first of all, it seems like you both agree about setting roles being important but when and where did he even HINT at trash talking TDMers?? How did you even bring TDMs into the discussion. You were the only one being insulting. You just sound dumb. Go sit in a corner and think about how to use you’re brain before you speak.
I did not know this either. Very useful to know. Especially if you attempt to go faster to someplace by Harpooning a Megalodon. This would especially be so if you're trying to escape from a Kraken and a Megalodon spawns on you.
3:18 I'd add that fireballs are perfect to deny control of the anchor and the steering wheel + a lot of monitinors have a crosshair feature which makes aiming cannons and harpoons so much easier
Ive been using your tip about sword lunging people off your ladder, ive also been using the turn and burn from your sword guide and its made me a better player. Also that jump onto your boat from the enemy’s exploding crows nest was so badass and felt like a movie moment
That last tip is really valuable to master, it can depend on speed, angle etc, especially for a galleon crew. If one is on the harpoon, and the rest on the cannon ball, I have many times gotten them to sink through cannonfire alone. It is actually glorious if you can catch them in what I call a vortex. It is hard to describe, but as you (a galleon) passes the enemy (Galleon), harpooning their front side and locking will put both ships in a Pirates of the caribean 3 whirlpool of a vortex. The enemy usually does not expect this, and so aiming at the cannons first is always recommended and then hail fire on lower decks. You will be putting enough holes for the water to fill faster than they can handle. So yeah, mastering the meneuvers of the harpooning of other ships is super good.
thanks for these! i just started solo slooping and these have been extremely helpful! Thank you! would love to see more of PVP tips as i struggle a lot with almost any PVP game.
Yo cheers on your voice over work. Most of the video game youtube channels out there have terrible diction and cadence and it's insanely fatiguing to listen to. You do a great job, keep it up!
Dude great guide full of usefull tips. I suscribed yesterday and I just want to say I'm very happy to see that in only 24 hours you got around a hundred subscribers. Im glad that the community acknowledge good content creators like you.
Great video, I’ve been playing this game on and off since launch but I had no idea about that harpoon locking or taking down enemy sails with a chain shot from their own cannons
I’m so happy I bought this game yesterday I’m so pumped to play it looks amazing. A lot to learn tho I’m guna suck for a while especially since I’m a solo
Man... I'm a pioneer sea of thieves player... Been playing for so long. And u are the first I see making a short video about what so important to do and not to do. You did a great job here. It help player base to understand sea of thieves is a over cooked type game after all. Every action who can make u save even just a second can make a huge difference. My big issue is my aim. I even train every day kovaaks for fix that. I even down my sensitivity to 36cm/360. But still I miss some shoots. I have a trouble anticipating the latency and the velocity of the gun shoot. (To make it harder hitreg are off) Also as I'm a father since 2 years I have lost a lot of playable time, rebuking me to do friend on discord. (Also because I'm in a so small house I cant talk because I would wake up my kid) I have noticed than even I train in arena regularly. The fact to don't be friend to anyone have gives me a disavantage about knowledge and pvp tips. (The double gun glitch combo, the fast reload by switching or empty hand and detain the gun again like thee digging)... This kind of glitches. And not having a discord make it hard to plan good none toxic tdm. Where every body just assume it's skills to chose double gun and force other player to double gun as well even if they more talented about sword. ( Who also need skill as well) example your dodge out ladder are a stupid usefull tip I should have figure out by myself with my knowledge. But I never thought about it and your video told me it thanks. If you can give some advanced tip video about double gun, tdm, what ever tip I might not know as many not regular players, I would appreciate ! :) Great job in this video u really deserve subscriptions to your chanel! Gg
Kegs are high risk high reward options. They saved us many times because we stacked them up and had multiply tries to sneak on board while being chased across the sea. Storing them on your crowsnest isnt so damaging either, sure your mast falls down but you can repair and there is only some fire on the deck. BUT if someone knows what they are doing and board you they can use the kegs against you, so kegs are more a tool for a surprise attack or a last effort option when the enemy has outnumbered you but i would never say, dont use them ever.
Another thing is that (especially in arena where you only have a few chainshots) is that if you’re trying to knock the mast down (especially on sloops where there’s only 1) aim for the crows nest
blunderbomb will only knock the ship around and possibly people lifting the mast up, or raising the anchor. It's not about damage, it's about cancelling what people are doing or making their ship lose their angle.
Another good tool for getting players off your ship (especially in the crows nest) is the blunderbomb. My friend went up there and threw one, and nocked the guy right off and we were able to escape!
You just need a friend to get on board with a keg, get that keg on the crow's nest, and fire bomb. The mast will be downed instantly. You can also put interactables all over their anchor to make it harder for them to flee.
If you want to calculate the shot when shooting your self to learn the arc of shooting yourself use a chainshot they are roughly the same weight so pretty much identical arc .thats how i practiced in the early days .
