What you are hearing is the noise of the electric fuel pump which is in the fuel tank directly under the driver's seat. I see that you have an M151A2 which has a mechanical fuel pump on the engine, so you don't get that noise in yours.
@@pvt.partsm1515 Thank you Sir. My M151a2 got that noise before and the timing gear made by some kind of plastic nearly broken , luckily I replace it soon so no damage to the engine.
For those wanting to know the HEMTT Is a M977, this one by the winch and long tool box on the passenger side looks to be a M977A2, I drove the HEMMT from 1985 when they replaced the M520 GOER until 2009 when I retired, the M977 would coast when you let off the gas pedal where as the newer models have the JACOBS break built in.
