I think the game had coded it so that it would only count alive plants. And yes I know potato mine and etc die and don’t effect imp dragon. But this is my opinion and I think it happens because exploding plants are considered “alive” when they explode still. And so does jalapeño. But because Hot date is eaten. It has been considered “dead” and probably the “dead” plants can effect imp dragon because of the code. Idk the real answers but that’s all I think

Its cause hot date was progammed to kill a certain amount of zombie according to its so on so called ‘damage’ But no they programmed him to only kill zombies which health is less then the damage it does Explaining why it can kill level 100 zombie
