First of all, love the shirt ;) Thanks for taking the time to produce this video, had a lot of fun watching it and read about your theories. Let me just flat out say it, none of them are correct… BUT! Your second theory has some aspects about George and Dave that go in the right direction. But our story does not include the existence of the game (the PVZ 3 beta Easter egg really is just an Easter egg). So Dave and George were not inspired by the game to create the plants in our story universe. And the other theory about Dave being an imposter is also not correct. Dave is Dave. There’s a reason Dave is portrayed as being much older than George and our Hero (played by Patrick). Dave travelled back in time to recruit our hero to help save the future (episode 3) but that messed up the timeline so he sends the hero back to fix it (episode 4). But as we saw that just messed up everything even more so. It is also a typical time paradox story. Something must have started all this. As we saw the hero always was there in the earlier episodes to influence what has already happened. That’s something we will explore in the following episodes. And regarding what is taking place in what year, that is only referencing the release date of OUR videos, not the games from PopCap / EA. So in our storyline PVZ1 takes place in 2011. Only the year 2009 is a direct reference to the release date of the first original game. Also the other clips like trailers or the Easter egg video of part 2 do not contribute to the storyline. The trailers should just get people hyped up to watch the actual episodes and the Easter egg video was produced in a completely different context originally, way before we had the plan to make more episodes and create a more complex storyline.
