I’m about to get hate but Anjali was never Rahuls first love or true love,he always love Tina that it had to take Tina to literally die and like 9 years for Rahul to move on and that too he only moved on because his kid brought them together and that was also Tinas doing cause of the letters. Rahul was always caught up on Tina and if Tina didn’t interject for him and bring him to Anjali herself,he would’ve never have been with her.

Even I love this movie. I can't completely agree with him. Love is friendship but with desire. He didn't like Angali at all when she looked like a boy and if Tina hadn't died he still would have been with her.

+mariapol17 but this dialogue is supposed to be more to Anjali more than Tina but Rahul didn't recognize this until she left and he never thought that he'll meet Anjali again but he always loved Anjali, remember when young Anjali playing a game and when she said "Anjali" he replied immediately "Sharma" and remember how sad he was when she left? these are proofs that he loved Anjali Sharma a lot and when Rahul saw Anjali after 8 years, he was all grown up and hasn't been flirting with girls of course but he really recognized his love to Anjali when he met her after so many years, he loved Tina of course but he really loved Anjali a bit more, well this is a movie at the end of this discussion lol

+Lamis Nabil for me not so much. I think yes he realized his feelings a bit when she left but he didn't go after her. He could have done that. If Tina hadn't died he still would have been with her. If Tina hadn't been in the picture still he wouldn't have gone after her. He had years knowing her and being her friend and yet he did not make a movie. He didn't desire her. I know that it sounds less romantic but in real life you need to desire your partner. That's what makes them different from your friends.When they met again he didn't immediately go after her yet again because he still viewed her as a friend it took plotting from his daughter and mother for him to see her(for example the rangeela scene)as a woman he could fall in love and be with. Maybe if Tina had never come and they spend more years together maybe their friendship would have changed on its own. My point is I do not believe love is friendship completely but desire too.
